Initially very expensive- £230 for a weeks holiday. Car was fine but was disappointed to return to find private paperwork that was in back of car had been looked at!! Will not be using again!

Parked in the long stay car park which was fine, but why stop the shuttle bus? 12 minute walk to the terminal is fine when it’s dry, but what about when it’s pouring with rain or snowing, ridiculous cost cutting at it’s best!

Thank you for your review. Our long stay shuttle bus was suspended in 2020 and the car park is an approximate 12 minute walk to the terminal. The long stay car park is marketed as a facility that does not have a shuttle bus and this is confirmed on our website and booking confirmations. For future reference we do have a shuttle bus that operates from Plane Parking. Kind regards, Customer Support Team

Parking at Edinburgh is expensive, poor value for money and chaotic. My last two experiences have been as follows; 1. Pre Booked Fast Park. Arrived only to be told they had no spaces and to go find a space in general terminal parking. 2. Pre booked & paid for a short stay in the multi-storey car park. On exiting the car park I was asked to pay an additional fee of £177! Had to speak to assistance to get released from the car park. These are not untypical experiences. Also, pick and drop off zones are extortionate. pick up has been recently moved outside with no cover. Hard to avoid the conclusion that the only interest they have in their passengers is to extract as much money from them as possible.

Thank your review. I can see that you booked into the Multi-storey car park and not FastPark. It sounds as though our automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system hasn't registered you upon entry. When this occurs, it means our system doesn't match you to your booking and you are then charged the roll-up rate in error upon exit. This doesn't happen often but when it does, I understand the frustration that it causes however I'm glad you managed to get it sorted at the time. Kind regards, Customer Support Team

Not a good experience arrived on the 3 rd july no spaces . loads of cars bumped up on pavements and thru roads blocked with cars

No staff around when we arrived and machine said we were not allowed to park On return my car was parked so close to the cars on either side I could not get into the drivers side at all and really struggled to get in the passenger side which enabled me to climb over. Travelling with a baby made this even more frustrating.

Got a bit of a fright on leaving the car park, as when inserted ticket asked for £350 ! Despite being prepaid. Barrier went up when questioned but still.....

The signage leading to the correct parking area is very confusing - needs to be clearer.

Long stay - not enough spaces, cars double parked, abandoned everywhere, on walkways etc. Very very hard to find a space. You need staff in this area to direct advise on where there are spaces. There was a sign pointing to spaces but no spaces . Walk as described and walkway clear so all that was fine.

The number of spaces available at each level was wrong. The area is filthy with cobwebs outside the lifts on the ground floor. Inside the lifts are disgusting with the floor looking as it has not been cleaned for a very long time. Tourists must wonder what sort of country they have arrived at. You charged me first class prices for parking and provided mediocre service. VERY poor.

Found no shuttle bus disappointing as I am 72 with 2 replacement knees and the walk to the terminal building was a struggle, the main reason we booked the long stay park was the bus.

We have used Edinburgh Airport Parking many times, and usually it's been great. However this time, the long stay parking lot was completely over-booked. There were no available spots when we arrived. There were cars parked in the travel lanes and on the curbs. There were junctions that couldn't be used because of the overflow with cars. There were literally cars everywhere! It was obvious that many drivers had no other option but to abandon their cars in order to make their flights. We had to park in a no-parking zone on a turn towards the back of the lot. We were so nervous to leave our car there, and did not feel confident or safe at all. But we had no choice. It was shocking to have paid £70 and arrive to find the parking lot like that. There's no excuse for this level of overbooking, for something that can easily be managed by a computer system. The whole situation has greatly reduced our confidence in booking here again.

Unfortunately, my return flight was cancelled and I had to pay a significant overstay fee (more than the cost of my original booking). Understandable but also dissapointing as the airline have refused to refund this.

Booked long stay parking and when we arrived there were no spaces and cars double parked everywhere because they’d given up. We circled until someone left us a space but overall this was a complete shambles. An expensive shambles too. Lucky we arrived early enough to avoid missing our flight. Too many tickets sold for not enough spaces shouldn’t be allowed.

Had to extend my trip, but couldn't extend parking online as online booking would not let me select long stay carpark. therefore had to pay excessive over-stay fee (£50) on return for 24hrs extension to trip.

If you have to extend your booking this can be done by creating a new booking from when your current booking ends until when you will be returning, if you have been unable to do this then you will be charged the non pre booked roll up rate upon returning. Access etc is easy but the car park was completely over booked. Cars parked on corners, yellow lines and up on curbs. Spent 10-15mins looking for a space.

Horrendous experience driving round for almost 30minutes trying to fund a space. Literally had to follow some guy who had just got off the plane and wait for him to leave his space. So stressful as thought we were going to be late for check in! Cars parked everywhere. On corners, on double yellow lines on footpaths. On return, someone had parked on a double yellow line behind us. Was so close we had to do multiple maneuvers to get out. Next time will pay a bit more and park in one of the others carparks
