“Flight was delayed an hour then border control was 4 rows deep and as such was an hour late to my car and was charged £154. Had to pay to get out. No buzzer to ring for help. Emailed for response and this is the first email I get back asking to write a review.”
“I pre paid for parking, flight was cancelled after issue found with aircraft. On exiting car park I was charged for the few hours I stayed! I have submitted a complaint and request for refund but as yet I’ve had no response”
“The parking was expensive in the first place for 7 nights parking. I was very disappointed to be charged another £30.00 because our flight was delayed by Italian Traffic controllers strike which neither I or Jet2 had any control over. Edinburgh airport are making enough money from people parking their cars. You should not have charged me another £30.00 to leave the car park.”
“I paid for the terminal multi-story parking so that I would have access to the fast pass to security. Upon entering the airport via the level 2 multi-story access route and making my way to security as I usually would I was told to make my way to the back of the fast pass queue (which is accessed form the airport side) via the existing general airport fast pass queue.
It was very difficult to do this as it’s a single line and I was having to push past people. It was a total farce.
This has never happened before and I would not use the service again on that basis. It’s not what I paid the extra parking cost for.”
“i returned from Italy on Thursday 9th June on LS840 at around 1am, due to an Air Traffic Control Strike. Incredibly, I had to pay an additional £50 to exit Mid Stay Car Park. This is unacceptable. I also made you aware (via your online query form) of our position as soon as I was made aware of the late impact (over 10 hours delayed) on our parking booking early on the 8th June. Acknowledged - but no response.
Shocking service given our blameless position!
Also I had prepaid/booked parking for summer 2020. You kept the money for that too. Completely unacceptable.

“We had to change our booking due to needing to be at airport one hour earlier. When we tried to amend booking, it got cancelled. Then it said there were no spaces. So we booked a taxi. But the money has been taken from our account. Terrible website, form to fill in makes no sense. Please refund our account.”
“Was quoted £69.99 when I pre-booked this parking. When I returned and paid the ticket I was charged almost double @ £120. Have emailed Edinburgh Airport to enquire but still waiting to hear back. 😥”

“I paid £2.90 online. I left about half an hour BEFORE my booked time was finished. I had to pay a further £16 at the barrier. It didn't work... AND even if I hadn't, the whole "it's cheaper online" is obviously rubbish. One more money-grabbing dishonest business.”
“When trying to leave the car park (at 2am in the morning) I put my ticket in and it told me I had £165 to pay. I had to press the call button and waited about 5 full minutes until someone answered, there was now a queue behind me. It was their mistake and once I read out my reg plate they let me go. This was far from ideal and not appreciated at all.”

Car was left in gear with handbrake on.
Car was left unlocked by staff.
Complaint was made to a very helpful team manager who passed it to relevant person, but 36 hours later there has been no contact from airport.
Would not book again or recommend. Paid a premium price for a supposedly secure service. Staff told me it was not a problem my car was left unlocked by staff as it was parked where there were ‘some cameras’!!”

4 days prior to traveling i booked and paid for the car park at the terminal area, booking Reference: UKNY2MME0 , when I arrived there was no spaces at all, after driving around for 10 mins I decided to go into the multi story car park level 5 on the top, after I returned from my two day trip, I was charged £150 for the car park on top of the £75.99 I had already paid, so that’s my review, 0-10 very poor !! Get a grip Edinburgh airport !!!”
“Our flight from Palma was delayed by 6hrs, then luggage took nearly 50mins to get to the belt. This resulted in us being over our prebooked parking time due to no fault of our own. My wife had to argue with a parking representative on the help line at the barrier for 5mins before we were allowed to leave as they were demanding an additional £50. Is an absolute joke and should have systems in place to allow for delayed passengers to access extended parking”
“The airport was very poorly signed about what car park was where. We ended up paying an extra £270 because of this! To be honest, overall the airport was very unorganised and not prepared for the amount of travellers they had”
“Booked Fast park service as we were due to arrive early morning and wanted to drive home (~2hrs) so wanted a quick seamless get away- what a fiasco. Arrived back at 0130 hrs and didn't get car until 0325 hrs by which time my 9 year old daughter was in tears. We were one of several families affected and there didn't seem to be enough staff to cope. Combined with complete chaos at check in and baggage handling on way out and way back I doubt whether we will use this service again”
“differcult to find a space , not very wide so car door stratched when we got back, no shuttle bus , coull not find a safe walkway to get to terminal, not signposted very good, walkway back to car all over the place and confusing , had barriers up over existing spaces, no order to it and miles from terminal”
“Poor signage the first sign takes you to the wrong long stay. Poor signage on exit as well. Spaces are very tight not good for people with mobility issues. As far as I could see no electric vehicle charging points if there was again poor signange.”
