“Did what it said in tin left car it was there when I got back I damaged. Couldn’t get a space in covered multi storey as was full first time in ages. Spaces are actually quite small as presumably designed way back before even a mini became huge. Route to terminal not too bad but looks very scruffy near terminal building still Covid signs in pavement chewing gum lodges everywhere looks like couldn’t care less. Road in from main road shocking poor surfaces terrible useless signs everywhere all road markings broken or non existent how a tourist finds their way to car hire return and easy to get trapped in the drop of route so £10 later …
Edinburgh airport is principally a shopping centre surrounded by scruffy outside and terrible public transport - where is the train other side of runway and no train stop for airport duhhhh no other sensible country would do this. They should just get rid of Edinburgh and Glasgow airports and make a new one say near Livingston just off motorway and with its own station on the Glasgow Edinburgh line - that way you would get far more routes to be viable arrival would be dead easy off motorway as dedicated route not too bad the highland show ground. And a train service would mean 15 mins odd from either main city centre far greener instead of current useless silo airports”
“We parked in the runway car park .. the cheapest and furthest away option… together with the regular bus service it was totally adequate and did not affect our airport experience at all …would use this car park again”
“Facilities ok. Enough spaces. Negatively, East twice using this. , driver did not wait long enough when collecting from airport. A quick check of his mirrors , he would see passengers within 50 metres of the bus and passengers then having to wait a needless 15 minutes. Twice this has now happened.”
“System didnt recognised my number plate when we arrived but pushed the buzzer and was sorted really quickly. i accept issues happen and judge on the response and as i said, the issue was resolved quickly with no fuss.”
