I do wish that the bus service would be reinstated. It was difficult to find a space and then there was a long walk.

Thank you for your review. Our long stay shuttle bus was suspended in 2020. The car park is an approximate 12 minute walk to the terminal and we find it to be a manageable distance for most customers. Those who find the distance unmanageable can contact us directly to discuss how we can support them. The long stay car park is marketed as a facility that does not have a shuttle bus and this is confirmed on our website and booking confirmations. Kind regards, Customer Support Team

Parking great and easy 5-10 minute walk to terminal. But the ability to extend a booking online would be a benefit.

Plane parking is a few mins drive from the terminal in a shuttle bus. It is a massive car park with only 2 stops for the shuttle bus, so try and park close to a bus stop or you gave a really long walk with your luggage. The road in to drop your car off is not well marked, the white lines are missing in some places, and the road is pretty rough. We arrived back in the dark and it’s not clear which road is the way out once you go through the barrier. From leaving the barrier more signs are needed to direct you back to the main road.

I pre-booked and paid for my parking in advance. However, I needed to change the car I was bringing and did this using the website. Imagine my surprise and shock when I put my ticket in at the gate to leave and was notified I had £120 to pay! The man who responded to me pressing the assistance button was very nice and cancelled the charge but said that my change of car registration hadn’t been updated on the computer despite me getting an email confirming the change. Not very impressed. Directions to the parking were great, found a space no problem and the bus was very prompt.

Very expensive. Only option was to buy multi story with fast track for 5 people - not needed as only 2 of us and had already purchased it with our flight. No signposting at the lifts to the fast track walkway. Would prefer cheaper parking.

I prepaid for a weeks parking. When I returned after a weeks holiday, I input my ticket at the exit barrier and was advised I owed £180!! Had to buzz to speak to someone who never apologised or explained what happened, just opened the barrier. Not good!!

More and better signage would help when approaching the car parks.Especially as you keep changing them. Got caught out and had to pay £5 and go through the drop off zone while trying to get to the multi story.

When we arrived all was excellent. When we back - total opposite, my car was parking on different slot from what was on tag and nobody was there to help . Me and my husband was walking around cars to find my car , not good experience at all

parking was good and easy only problem when i returned my car was almost 500 yards away h ad to get someone to retrieve it as i am disabled and had my blue badge on show,the disabled bays were full of cars with no blue badge

Better weather just as dirty as departure but with humour! The rubbish bin at the bus stop for plane parking did not have a plastic bag, result people places their rubbish on top of the lid and on the ground. Great first impression for visitors.

While parking at the airport in terms of accessibility and ease of getting to, isn’t a problem, the actual cost to park is still shocking and astronomical. Yes as travellers we are somewhat a captured audience that is taken advantage of but surely costs could be aligned to a much more reasonable cost. Afterall, seeing just how busy the various car parks are, it’s not as if you aren’t making money out of travellers who are sometime held to ransom if they want to drive and park close to the airport. Yours disgruntled and a tad fed up ….

Everything was fine but it was the cheapest option on site and still hugely expensive, to a point where I did feel exploited. Edinburgh Airport as a location is so rubbish just now. It needs massive investment just to get close to satisfactory, let’s hope the new ownership has very deep pockets as it’s been poorly run for many years!

Easy on line booking and access to car park, transfer to/from airport. However, booking often not registered so have to call operator from exit gate.

Thank you for your review. It sounds as though our automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system hasn't registered you upon entry. When this occurs, it means our system doesn't match you to your booking and you are then charged the roll-up rate in error upon exit. The process of booking was easy and the charges fair compared to other airport car parks. The signage to the car park was good until reaching the entrance when it was not clear and I drove on to the staff car park. Otherwise the entry and exit process was straightforward. I had made a mistake on my return time and there was no way to correct this whilst I was away -it would be better if the booking process took account of the flight numbers and made an auto correction to the entry and exit times. Fortunately I did not have to pay extra but I don't understand why not. The approach to the car park is let down by the state of the roads around the airport. The bus service operated within the time bands given on the information sheet and the drivers were friendly. The bus shelters were flimsy and on the day I was parking my car I thought the roof was going to blow off and I did not want to use it.

Once again when trying to exit the long stay car park having booked and pre-paid £44.99 in advance I inserted my ticket and a request for payment in excess of £300 was displayed, communication button pressed reg No given barrier raised we continued our journey. Why does the system not operate automatically?

The price is reasonable however my recent experience of returning on 22nd April - get to the bus stop to an empty bus and no driver. Waiting in the cold for ages before another bus turns up, then only to get to the car park only for the system not to let the bus into the car park. After waiting a while (and the driver arguing with the control - sounded like the control didn’t believe him) we all just got off at the gate to walk to our cars.

Paid £39 to park in Plane Parking from Monday @ 11:30 to Friday @ midnight. Due to delayed flights Geneva to Amsterdam and missed connection in Amsterdam we had to stay overnight. Having been rebooked on an early flight we got to the car park around 10:00. The additional fee of £45 which we had to pay to leave the car park was in my opinion rediculously expensive. There should be a system to override this fee when flights are delayed etc.

As is set out in your confirmation e-mail and the FAQs section of our website, if you are aware that you are going to be delayed outwith the grace period, then you should make a new booking that starts when your current one ends to cover any additional time that you may require. Unless you make a new booking then you would be subject to an overstay charge which is charged at the non-booked rate. Kind regards, Customer Support Team
