“Mostly a good experience until exiting. Despite having paid in advance I couldn't get through the barrier and was asked to pay £175. I used intercom to give over my registration number and was then released, but it was very disconcerting to have that experience on returning from holiday. Had I been a visitor to the country unable to speak our language I would have found this alarming. Also, an unfortunate new development is that the airport now charges for the 'hire' of trolleys. This may not be within your control but given the distance to the terminal it is a somewaht greedy move. You may be able to bring this up with the airport.”
“Reasonable price if booked far enough in advance. Outrageous price if you can't book in advance.
Bus drops you off quite far from the terminal building. Not in front of terminal.
Not enough bus stops in car park. Can be a long walk (at both ends) with luggage.”
“Spaces were far too small and there was a lack of spaces. It would also be useful to have some parent and child parking options. It would also be useful to have a more direct walking route from the terminal building to terminal parking”
“The service is portrayed as a first class, no hassle, slick parking experience but in reality it's yet another way to make money with least inconvenience to yourselves. I "checked in" beforehand but still needed to go through the paperwork when I got there. On the way back, I have to find my keys then find my car. None of it is about service.
Also, nearly all of your customers will have suitcases on wheels and yet I am wheeling mine across potholes, uneven tarmac and deliberately bumpy pavements between the parking and the terminal.
After being in Hungary and Vienna last week, Edinburgh is distinctly second rate.”
“There is work to be done on improving signage both vehicular and pedestrian. It’s far too easy to miss the ramp taking you right off the route to the pick up. When you park up, there is also inadequate signage to direct you to the Terminal building without ending up taking a circuitous route away from pedestrian friendly routes.”
“Bays are a bit tight and area is always busy.
To save clients driving about to spot a free space , have some sort of signage to indicate a vacant space.”
“Easy access and good service but I do have concerns about how the vehicle was looked after while we were away. When we arrived home (at 2 am) and made our way to the car, the battery was totally flat. It is a new battery and I have never had any issues with starting the car.
The staff were able to give me a jump start with their power pack but I suspect this may be a regular occurrence.”
“Very easy to access parking and the sirport. Yet again massive problem with the fast track security as the booking doesn't like to boarding pass and you ahve to show email etc, this needs to be slicker.
Getting out was a nightmare. Wanted £200 to leave and got stuck at the barrier and waited fro the guy to answer telecom. No idea what happened but after a busy work trip and flight the last thing you want is more unnecessary hold ups.”
“Used fast track parking. 2 children with disabilities and blue badge on display. Went through photo booth and was directed into lane 4 behind a row of other cars. Had 4 suitcases, 4 hand luggage and the children, no trolley to put luggage on and a very bumpy walk to the fast track key deposit area. There was a member of staff there to assist with depositing the key. I said how unsatisfactory I thought it was to be parked so far away with a disability badge and no trolleys available. He said the member of staff on the gate must not have seen the blue badge but that on our return, my car would be on a disabled bay close to the key return area. He said no trolleys are stored there, only ones that other travellers have left lying. Glasgow airport valet parking is much more efficient and is preferable to Edinburgh airport.”
“Our stay was frustrating as we arrived home on the 3rd of august but i needed the car park until 230 am on the forth due to our flight it had the wrong date and the outstanding balance came to ten pound less than we paid for an entire week which I find absolutely ridiculous.”
“The plane parking is good and busses were frequently. However even though I booked online, when I arrived I still had to take a ticket, and when exiting the car park and entered the ticket I was told I still had £266 left to pay, which is a shock after a long day of traveling. However once I pressed the help button it was fixed right away and the gate opened.”
