Had to press the help button to leave as the barrier system didn't recognise my vehicle registration no.

On entering the barrier at 2:00am and inserting my ticket the barrier would not open this is the second time I have had this problem.

Vehicle recognition did not work on entry to carpark. We had pre paid parking. Vowed I would not let this spoil my holiday. Didn't want an argument trying to get out the carpark when we got back. Carpark is not far from terminal. Direction signs would have helped at 3 in the morning. Could not get out with ticket when we got back but after pressing the buzzer and speaking to someone we got out relatively easily. Pity the system doesn't work properly.

Easy service to use! Car was waiting close to the terminal when we arrived home. We were 6 minutes later than we said to pick the car up due to our flight being delayed half an hour due to maintenance issue. We were charged £4.00 on leaving the car park at the barrier! You would think there would be a couple of hours grace for delays ect! £4.00 for 6 minutes is outrageous!!!

Parking fine but more signage into the airport building would be great.

Reasonably straightforward once you know what to do. Signs aren't particularly good for any of the necessary operations (finding the right car park, finding vacant spaces, route to/from terminal, finding where your car is located on return, finding the way out barrier, finding the way out of airport from car park). There are different car park options which some people will find confusing. Pre-booking is virtually essential as the penalty cost for arriving without a reservation is very high. During this week's visit the exit barrier chosen at random was faulty in that it was unable to accept the type of ticket I had (the most common paper type that you collect on entry). However this wasn't very clear on the barrier display and following several failed attempts I called for assistance. A reversing manoeuvre was necessary (potentially difficult after a queue of cars builds behind) and after choosing another lane the exit process worked well. I felt notification of the faulty barrier was rather poor and could cause avoidable inconvenience to many drivers, especially those who don't speak English well or are unfamiliar with right hand drive conventions.

Easy to get into. Very narrow parking spaces. Poorly sign posted to the lifts from the top floor. Poorly signposted entrance upon return from holiday.

No shuttle bus. Long walk and a few kerbs so not ideal when pulling luggage. Also pouring with rain when collecting car - near the gate there was a huge puddle which made the gate to next car park nearly impossible to get through. Spaces should have numbers on them to make it easier to remember where you are parked. Exit is really poorly sign posted too. Need bigger more clear signs - especially at night.

In the present situation we have still not been able to pick up our car because our flight from Gatwick yesterday was cancelled. There is no way to contact you about the problem. We just have to hope we can sort things out when we get back (hopefully) this evening. I looked all over the airport website at all the faqs but found nothing and none of the phone numbers included a parking helpline.

Arrival was confusing with us abandoning our car and making our way to the check in. The instructions were confusing. A rather ‘too’ helpful staff member talked us all through the check in step by step most of which was stating the obvious. I had to ask her to back off unless I asked for assistance. The check in didn’t display our return flight and we were told not to worry just pick one as it doesn’t matter. So why ask us to pick any one?

Valet car park isn’t particularly well signposted from main approach roads. Used the valet parking system to book parking. The interface to check in your vehicle was clunky and a few other passengers were experiencing difficulties. Key collection was straightforward and smooth. Exiting the car park was difficult as the barrier wouldn’t lift as the car park was full and machines weren’t issuing tickets. Generally an ok service.

We booked the long term parking to let us see off our daughter and her children as she returned home. We were only looking for about 3 hours and this was the nearest product to give us that. The pedestrian routes to the airport, and particularly back from the airport were confusing and we deviated from these in both directions. There is a clear need for a facility more convenient and priced by the hour for seeing relatives off.

Gate did not recognise my number plate and caused a mild panic as cars were behind me impatiently waiting to enter. Eventually sorted with ref. no. But advise you have that handy if you have to speak to the operator.

the NPR system didn't work and you tried to ask for £270 when we were trying to leave fortunately your assistant on the exit system allowed us out but it was a hold up for us and others and disappointing not to mention a shock. Location was good and the pre-booked price was good

Booking not ideal as could not link to flight times. Arrival chaos at 4 am as machines didn’t recognise booking. Van parked the furthest distance feasible from terminal on return. But really helpful staff!

Very little disabled parking and the spaces that were available were taken by vehicles failing to display a badge

It is passible not like the airport where you get ripped off for take foreign currencies out of the atm. You are allowing unscrupulous businesses to operate with your airport which is operating at over capacity during busy times. Unacceptable waiting times/ queues to go through security. Changing gates after announcing the gate resulting passengers missing flights. Your fault but you take NO responsibility! You subsequently blame passenger after promising to compensate them. I would not use Edinburgh airport if I have an option

When I arrived the signposting was confusing, there was no knowing where I should go having pre-booked. The automatic barrier did not recognise my number plate, even though I had pre-booked, I needed assistance to enter.

I pre booked for two weeks. When I drove in and picked up the ticket, the car number recognition failed so my number was not printed on the ticket. The free spaces indicated was not accurate so spent time on a couple of floors looking for spaces that were not there. Eventually found lots of spaces on the roof. On returning I checked with the parking office who advised to just drive up to the barrier and insert the ticket and call us on the intercom and we will let you out. Not what you expect considering how much the parking costs and there is an automatic entry and exit barriers.
