“Never recognised my reg when i arrived . Had to drive round for 10 mins to find a space . On my return needed to wait 25 mins for a bus back . And to top it off when i tried to leave machine tried to charge me £95 when i had already paid . They did sort it tho”
“We came to the barrier, inserted the ticket and was presented with a bill of £166 despite having a confirmed booking for £49. Rang the bell, the guy couldn't find any record of the booking. Fortunately my wife had the email confirmation with the order number and that was that. Not a good end to a holiday.”
“I bought the multi-storey parking mainly for the free fast track. This was a huge mistake and not actually worth the inflated price of the parking. Parking was scarce too and only had available spaces on the roof. There are way too few disabled spaces and I had to struggle with my luggage after having to park quite far away from the lifts. The normal spaces are very small too and I couldn't have parked next to another car and been able to get out.
On the plus side, the carpark is incredibly clean and on the whole, was easy to use at entry and exit. The location close to the terminal is excellent but that's where the positiveness ends for me.”
“Parking is fine, 2 minutes walk from the terminal, cost is absolutely crazy, £159:99 for 5 nights, this is daylight robbery & leaves a bad taste & would look to use an alternative airport because of this.
Don’t for one minute expect this review to be published.”
“I am not sure why when you have provided a registration number you are still provided a ticket which you have to keep and then use to get out of the car park. What's the point?”
“Paid £80 to park in Terminal Refundable car park for a week and was extremely surprised to see how small and tight the spaces were on arrival and returned to find a dent on NSR door.
Also, on arrival at the barrier when leaving the car park we were surprised to find it wouldn’t open and was claiming we had £270 outstanding on our ticket at which point we had to try and signal to people behind us to allow us to reverse and flag down an Edinburgh airport car for advice. Luckily, after pressing assistance at the barrier this issue was rectified fairly quickly but not issues I would have expected and unnecessary stress on return from our holidays with 2 young children.”
“Expensive compared to Glasgow. Multistorey at Glasgow same duration, £55. Edinburgh £110.
Surface terminal £75 for 5 days! Car parked mobbed and difficult to find a space and spaces tiny.”
“The terminal car park was not easy to find or get into and proved to be very stressful upon my arrival, having never been to the airport before.
Due to my flight from Munich to Brussels being held up for almost an hour, I missed my connecting flight to Edinburgh. Having had to spend just short of 3 hours in a long and disgruntled line waiting to see someone at the Brussels Airline Service Desk - I was informed that the next flight to Edinburgh was 11.00 am the next morning. I was therefore forced to spend the night in a hotel (paid for by Brussels Airlines - as it was all their fault). This meant that I was a day late upon returning to Edinburgh. I was then hit with an additional £60 parking charge for being a day late. It had already been a very long and stressful journey to get back home. But then to be faced with an additional parking charge (amounting to a week's worth of parking) for something that wasn't even my fault, I find extremely disgraceful and disgusting!!!! Not quite the welcome home I was expecting to receive following a very stressful journey back!”
“Pre booked a space in the long stay car park in July 2022. We changed our car in August 2022, so amended our booking to the new car registration. When leaving the car park after our holiday we were faced with over a £200 bill as our booking had not been amended to our new registration by the car park. However after calling for assistance we quoted our old car registration and the matter was sorted out. Not what you need at 3am when trying to get home after a long flight. Very disappointed in Edinburgh Airport Parking.”
“I was surprised to find out that the shuttle bus no longer runs to the long stay car park. With two heavy bags it is a long walk to the terminal depending on the availability of spaces.
Also found that when leaving the car park I was told at the exit that there was £284 outstanding when I had already pre booked and pre paid. Had to call for assistance before I could exit.
I will not be using this car park again.”
“Ripped off. Booked this parking for next month and it’s half the price of what I paid for this trip. Would be nice if you could invest in better walkways through the car park now that the buss has been removed.”
“Not well sign posted as so many long term parking. So had difficulty finding the correct car park. Parked the car and all the EXIT signs were for cars, had to stop a taxi driver to ask where to go to the airport! Need large signs for pedestrians in all areas of the car park. Then when I returned my car had not been recognised(had prepaid) and took sometime before my Help call was answered. Might be ok for locals using all the time but not for a visitor.”
“Drove around for a long time on the tarmac parking trying to find a space. I was one of many cars circling and no cars were leaving. I thought I was going to be late for my flight, but I managed to get a spot in the end. I booked the tarmac parking to be close and fast, that didn't work out.”
