Amended my car reg well in advance. When exiting the car park, did not recognise the new reg (i had received an email confirming change had been accepted) and tried to charge me £140! Took about 10-15 mins to get through to an operator to get this resolved. £140 is also a riddiculous amount for that length of stay (Tues to Sat)

I knew what I was dealing with as left it far too late to book usual multi-storey space within budget. Parking spaces not easily defined and cars littered everywhere (on double yellows, on paths and blocking walkways) There is no clear easy way finding to terminal. It was my first time and just seems walls of metal fences blocking way to airport. It is not friendly, safe or welcoming to make it easy once car parked. I am just glad it was dry as made several wrong turns trying to get to terminal.

I parked at Plane Parking overnight and can't fault the bus service to and from the airport. However, on my return which was within my booked time, I was unable to exit the car park as when I put my ticket in it was charging me a further £40. After repeatedly pushing the call button to contact someone I had no option but to pay the charge in order to exit the airport as there was no one around to help. My ticket then came out of the machine date stamped for the following day, which explains the charge. I've still not been able to find out how to contact someone to arrange a refund. This was my first time parking there and I won't be using the car park again.

Coming out of the terminal the signposting for the mid stay car park is inadequate

My car headlights were left on by the staff member who parked my car. Thankfully the car started and I was able to get home, but it would have been an absolute nightmare returning to my car at 3am with the kids & a 1hr drive ahead of us to find the battery was drained. Was my car parked with lights left on for a day? More? It was 3am when I got to my car so surely it was obvious that the lights had been left on given that it was dark? I noticed it as soon as I got into the car park, I actually thought that someone must have an identical car to ours. On the bright side the car park is really handy for the terminal, and the battery wasn't drained.

The check in of the car was great. But when arriving back to Edinburgh Airport we were told by the machine that our keys were not ready and to go to reception. When booking I had requested collection of 02:00, but was told by reception that on their records it was 11:00 and this is why the keys were not ready. I have since reviewed my booking email and it was 02:00 that I had requested. We then had to wait more than 20 minutes to receive the car due to no fault of our own. Even though this was the car parks error, there was no mention of any compensation. We were also not the only customers that were waiting due to the same error.

I parked in long stay this time with the shuttle bus from the long stay car park. Sorry but this time it has to be 2 stars. Firstly the bus dropoff point is far too far away from the departures entrance. If I'm paying a premium for airport parking I'd expect the shuttle to drop you off at the departures entrance, which is easily accessible by bus. Secondly, due to traffic and roadworks I was delayed slightly, but still made the airport in good time. I parked and then waited for the bus. It arrived much longer than the advertised 'every 12 minutes' To which we were told upon boarding, 'sorry there will be a slight delay as we need to change busses'. Time was ticking on. Fine, quick bus change, not a problem, we still have plenty of time. He then drove around back to the first bus stop, not only was it a bus change but also a driver change, who happened to be a new recruit who had to be shown how to operate the bus by the other driver. After this passed the other driver left and the new driver got out of the bus and another passenger joked 'I wonder if he's off to kick the tyres' - the new driver did exactly this... Time had marched on and my stress level was through the roof. The new driver proceeded to go all the way along the long way around the car park and stopped again to pick up more passengers from the very same stop we were picked up from! We had like 15-20mins now to get through security and get to the gate. We got there with just 1 minute to spare before the gate closed and last boarding calls were going out. I never gave 1 Star only because we actually caught the flight and my vehicle was obviously safe & secure in the parking area. Never again. Horrific experience.

The concept of easy parking is good however when we parked the car we informed you my wife is disabled and we're told her car would be close by. This was not the case on our return, our car was in D44 which is almost the furthest point from the entrance. If you state you are disabled then every effort should be made to ease any problems.

Due to an air traffic controllers strike in France arrived back at airport a day late to a £60.00 charge for that day. This appears excessive.

very few bus stops (2 only), miles to walk if you cannot park nearby.

£120 for 7 night stay - I would say not worth the money. + Its an option for plan D of travel to/from airport - Not garenteed an actual parking space. We did get one but there were cars ditched on the pavements and even on the road/junction areas. I would find it so stressful to be heading off on holiday and not being able to find a space. - No shuttle. My husband dropped myself, my baby and my bags off at the drop off before parking and joining us. Cost us an additional £4. On our return home at 2am yesterday we were lucky that it was mild and dry BUT could not imagine having to walk that distance with luggage and kids in the freezing or rain! - Signage and clear pedestrian pathways could do with some improvement and user feedback Edinburgh come on.... you can do better than this for your users. Bring back the shuttles.

Parking was fine. It was handy to have the signs signposting where you will find ‘spaces’ saves drivers driving around. I booked the thinking there was a shuttle bus - this should be made clear on website that there is no shuttle bus. Whilst terminal isn’t far away, I would have parked at a different car park had I known no shuttle bus as I have had recent surgery. Thank you

Very narrow parking bays and the system did not 4ecognise the car plate and booking - we had to wait at 3am to talk to someone on the interphone to confirm our booking. Overpriced, poor service!

I would have said 5* if it wasn’t for getting charged an extortionate extra £60 for overstaying til the following morning due to loosing my key and couldn’t get a locksmith out that night. Considering it’s £54 for 1wks parking I feel that is taking liberties especially in these seriously hard enough times.

There were absolutely no free spaces when I parked the car. I circled for 30 minutes and was in danger of missing my flight. I had to park in a non parking space. For £80 for 3 nights I expected not to worry about whether my car would be towed or not.

Whilst the access of ease to the airport is a big plus point, the number of spaces was inadequate and it took a significant time to find the only empty space in the car park- which had clearly been left at the car infront had encroached onto the space. There was no one to talk to and it does not appear there is anyone policing the spaces or how poorly parked many of the cars were. On departure the ticket machine also said I was due £ 165 so had to wait until someone could look into this error and let me leave.
