“Very expensive parking for a week and when our luggage was delayed because of Airport staffing issues we were charged an additional £9 to exit the car park”
“The parking itself was ideal. However, it is not easy to make the right cut off for the car park (especially if it is not daylight) and once you miss it you are automatically into the drop off area and have to pay £4 to exit, despite just driving through. Following the car park stay, I exited via a barrier where I collected a ticket that to scan for exiting the next car park (at the main roundabout). When I scanned the ticket here it told me I had another £4 to pay! I felt scammed out of basically another £10 on top of what I had already paid. It feels highly unfair.”
“On arrival, we drove around what we thought were the only parking areas for 15 minutes trying unsuccessfully to find a parking space. It was only when we decided to eturn to the entry point that we observed the "Spaces" sign indicating an overflow area. Although we managed to park in this area it was too far to walk comfortably with cases & golf bags. If we used Terminal parking again we would drop off a passenger with the luggage closer to the Terminal & then go park the car. Hope this helps others.”
“Extortionate pricing, but fine for what it is. No shuttle bus, which didn't bother me, but if I had any mobility issues it'd be a bit of a concern.
Could do with some signs around reminding folk to remember where they parked - there's a lot on your mind when you're going for a flight, and it's easy to forget - and there's no hope in hell of you remembering when you return a week later! I mean, that's my own fault, but for the price, a helpful reminder isn't a huge ask.”
“All good until tried leaving carpark, long wait at barrier due to drivers having to put card details into machine. Our flight landed about 10mins late, cost extra £4”
“Very convenient and friendly staff let down badly by having to pay an additional £4 when exiting the final barrier. This unexpected charge was causing a tailback for everyone leaving Fastpark facility”
“Yet again an issue trying to leave the car park. It happens too many times that the machine does not recognise that you've prepaid and you have to contact an operator to leave. This time I got the message that about £174 (?) was outstanding.”
“Near airport building. Much difficulty in finding my car at 03.00 in the morning. Not obvious which slit to put ticket at the exit bar. Help- Voice not helpful and impossible to hear. Expenseve. Not sure if I would use the Aieport Parking again.”
“Location of car park is good but exiting has been a problem on both my recent visits
First time a fault with the ticket machine delayed our exit and your worker was slow to help when we called
Second time I booked on mine and another problem with the ticket machine delayed our exit , again we had to call help which was dissapointing and delayed our exit”
“The parking was excellent until i went to leave and the barrier wanted to charge me £126 for 2 days stay when i had booked in advance.
The operator was good but it took almost 30mins before it was sorted and allowed us to exit the multistory parking.”
“Finding the long stay car park was straight forward due to instructions given on the booking and signage approaching the airport. Found a space no problem & followed the path to the terminal, however on our return it was a different story. We had a late flight and arrived back in Edinburgh after 11pm, after leaving the arrivals terminal we found it difficult to locate the path back to the long stay car park and ended up walking all the way down to the roundabout at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel & ended up on the grass verge. My partner then left myself & our little 5 year old girl at the rental car park so that he could get the car & pick us up, by this time it was approaching midnight & not a great end to our holiday.”
“The whole process from arriving at car park to returning to collect car was seamless and a good experience. My annoyance is in getting into my car upon return. The seat was left in a position which I had not left it in and the steering wheel was at a different height. As I have back issues I found it most annoying that the position of my seat and steering wheel was changed without any effort for it to be repositioned to its original position. Hence the 3 star rating”
“The location in ease of use was great, unfortunately upon returning to the car after 6 days away ALL of the controls seemed to have been changed/ played with. There are indicator lights that we have no idea what they do lit up. Worst of all was the seat being moved and the memory being changed. Having mobility issues the seat position takes some time to get right and to be comfortable, this was most distressing trying to get a comfortable position again, when pressing the memory button on the car should have been the saving grace.”
“pre booked parking at surface car park spent quite a long time going round in circles looking for a parking space eventually found one. on way out had to request exit from office as machine does not recognise pre parking and asks for more money before exit is granted.”
“Paid for medium term parking and ended up right at the back of the car park on the perimeter of long stay (no spaces available any closer to the terminal). Total waste of money as the walk from Long stay was just as far.”
“I booked 7 days parking in the car park behind the multi-storey from 03/06/2022 to 10/06/2022. On my return around 15.30, I presented my ticket at the exit barrier and was asked to pay a substantial parking fee. I pressed the help button and spoke to someone who asked my details. He then told me it had been sorted and the barrier would now open for me. I presented my ticket again and I was again asked for payment. I pressed the help button again and spoke to the same person, and he did something again and said the barrier would open for this time, which it did. I had a few frustrated drivers behind me which made me feel uncomfortable, and it was not a pleasant experience. I was well within my stated time of arrival and departure, so what went wrong on your part?
Mr Jeff Todd”
