“Needs more directional signage for route to airport- we appeared to be in an overflow section with an extra fence in the way. Same goes leaving the terminal- we followed signs for taxi as we knew we passed that area on the way in.
Also very difficult to find a space- too many bad drivers parked on/across white lines rendered many spaces unusable, and it was a very busy car park.
Price was about right”
“Efficient booking process. Available spaces.
Given the cost of £50 for 36 hours in the mid-stay car park not something I am likely to do again unless I away for 1 night.”
“I use the multi-story monthly, however, fell foul to a delay of late and was then charged to exit the parking (after shelling out for it in the first place).
Pretty shocking way of treating returning customers.”
“Parking was fine but I think you need to explain when you pre purchase your parking that you just use your ticket to get put of the car park again and don't need to go to the pauly station. It's not clear at all how the system works.”
“it was expensive, but it may have been because I booked late.
I was still charged a £4 drop-off fee when I left the parking lot with the ticket from Fastpark. This did get refunded but still a waste of time
staff on site were very helpful
process was fast”
“When we arrived the carpark was clearly over booked. Although we had booked way back in February. We ended up being told to park in an area that clearly stated no parking and being told to park as close to the car beside us, not ideal when you have cases etc to get out a car never mind yourself. Not very clear directions/walkway for getting to airport either as lots of paths seemed to be blocked by cars.”
“Pre-booked, reasonable price, needs some small investment and changes. Nearly full when I arrived, took time to find a space at the far end. Should have area reserved for pre-bookings so that spaces are always and easily available. Clear signs between terminal and taxi area, route unclear between taxi area and long stay car park, only ad hoc arrangements to gate between mid term and long term areas. Signage to drive out is a very poor mixture of large and small signs and faded road markings (exit, one way, give way, no entry), more of a maze than a clearly marked route to the barrier. Not at all obvious which of the many lanes to take, especially when leaving at night”
“It is expensive but convenient. One thing that does annoy me is the automated barrier system - if a flight is delayed and you go beyond the planned time of parking you get charged extra - for no fault of your own other than the flight was delayed. On the last trip, I had 2 cancelled flights back and ended up travelling through the night to get back to collect my car - being asked to pay another £40 was the final straw! Thankfully the parking team waved that extra payment and were good to deal with - but asking for extra money in the first place does seem a bit opportunistic on the Airports part.”
“I prepaid my stay but it wasn't very clear as to how I would exit the car park. At Glasgow and Prestwick airports, they have license plate recognition technology so you just enter and then leave easily. You might like to invest in better technology.”
“This is the first time I have used Plane Parking. I was really concerned when I arrived at 5:30 am to find the entrance closed. I wasn't sure what to do, but noticed further Plane Parking signs which took me even further away from the terminal building. Only there did I find a sign saying to use Long Stay. I think the signage could have been provided at the first entrance to Plane Parking. It all seemed very confusing. Alternatively, perhaps I could have been notified (by email) beforehand?”
“We were very pleased with e car parking experience until we came to leave. We put the machine at the exit and it tried to charge us £670! Luckily, after pressing the assistance button the problem was sorted and we managed to exit. We needed all our details and booking reference to sort this out. Otherwise it was good and very easy to access the terminal.”
“The barrier wouldnt open automatically on arrival so had to buzz the intercom which rang for quite a while then someone answered, asked my reg plate, and opened the barrier. Car park was very busy but easily found a space.”
“Relevantly easy to navigate.
1.Not first time using, would say signage to departure would help, especially if arriving late or very early, pathways are very narrow and uneven, also it's a hit and miss in which way to walk towards airport.
2.People parking out with allocated spaces, I.e. on the corners of roads, need to be sent warnings of penalties, leaving car park was like a Maze ZigZag course!
3.I had prepaid therefore received a shock of being asked at exit to pay £220.00 . Asked attendant via intercom for assistance, after some investigation on both parties matter was resolved. Your system had picked up my registration incorrectly, as I always photo shoot my purchases I had a picture of my booking confirmation that helped the system. It might have been a different situation for others.
4.These bleeps in your system need to be ironed out. Otherwise it's our best option at present using park and walk.
5. Suggestion: A loyalty Scheme? Do you offer discounts for recommendations to family and friends?”
“Convenient location however the gate tried to charge me after I had paid upon online reservation. Had to faff around with my phone to find a confirmation number to speak to the person at the gate.”
“Everything went well until we tried to leave the barrier would not go up because the machine said we owed £330'pounds,eventually out ticket was reinstated and we were allowed to go,just what we needed after a 1hour delay flying up to Edinburgh and 30 minutes waiting to get of the plane.Don't know if we will use you in september.”
“The pedestrian route to the terminal from the long-term section of the car park is not marked - a marked route only appears to start in the medium stay section. There is no path or route to follow with lowered curbs if you are pushing a trolley.
When I booked I was provided with directions and a map to the car park but no instructions on how to enter or exit ie what to do with the ticket given on entry. Fortunately, the help button on the machine worked and I was assisted.
There was a lot of rubbish in the car park being blown about.”
“Did struggle a little to find the foot passenger exit and on return the car exit Could have been better signposted . Shame the buses no longer running . We managed as 2 adults but would have struggled with children , disabled and more luggage ? Overall though convenient.”
