“It was convient and made things alot easier for getting my wife and our luggage to airport. Althought i was under the impression that it was number plate recognition which it was not.”
“Followed instructions and managed to park no problem however on leaving the card machine didn't accept our ticket. Had to press for assistance, after 5-10 mins finally got out.”
“Easy to park and get on transfer bus. However I am not happy about the signage to the long-stay car-park. Your leaflet which I printed out when I booked on-line said "follow the yellow signs". This was wrong and confusing and when I phoned up on arriving at the airport to clarify I was further confused, as the same error was repeated. The first sign directing to the official long-stay carpark was PURPLE. The entrance to the car-park was ORANGE not yellow. It would also have helped a lot to be clearly indicated at baggage reclaim where you can board the bus for the long-stay carpark. Please can you correct this error.”
“Having paid a premium to park in a short stay car park I found myself parked a 10 min walk from the terminal, I could have saved £20 and used the long stay!”
“Camera didn't register our licence number correctly, O instead of U, so barrier wouldn't open for us on exit. Got out after speaking to attendant but not as smooth and easy as expected.”
“Partner has difficulty walking so we always book parking near the terminal. However we are now on the verge of being priced out of this facility with eye-wateringly high prices that are approaching the same as we pay for our flights.”
“It didn't. On attempting to exit the parking the ticket machine requested an additional £255 when parking had already been pre-paid. On speaking to someone via the intercom I had to go to the car boot to retrieve the booking ref number. At which point the barrier was lifted.”
“Finding and parking in the long stay car park is easy, as is getting picked up by the transfer bus. But after being informed that the bus now drops you off right at the terminal, I was a little dismayed that it now drops you off about 20m away from where it used to drop you off. Not right in front of terminal. Seems crazy that the airports own bus can't drop you off right at the door.”
“Hi, not the forst time thatI've used the service but was confused as to find the stnce for the shuttle bus on my return to Edinburgh Airport. The information sign for 'Stance A' is U-turn sign! we walked up and down the concourse with luggage before we realised that all the other shuttle stances have numerals, not letters!!!”
“The cost has jumped up from the last time we used the parking. we were 2.5 hrs late in arriving in and despite not going over another 24 hr period we had to pay an extra £10.
Not as happy as we were the first time.”
“We booked valet parking as my husband is in a wheelchair and I'm not in good health either. The car park was very convenient and the attendant very helpful. Great start to a holiday.
however on our return the attendants were awful. Handed me the keys and left me to get on with it. I had to move the car myself into a suitable place to load the luggage and wheelchair. No help was offered at all. Two attendants were there. Both male. One was a bit elderly which was fair enough but the younger man just sat and played with his phone and watched me. Really disappointing as most human beings like to help.
Would recommend the service if you're fit and able but not if you are struggling with children or disabled.”
“Easy to find the long stay car park bit hard to find a car parking space even though we were booked in. Cars were double parked and even parked in areas that were not spaces?”
“Parking in the multi storey car park was very good with the fast track an ideal add on. Airport was very well laid out and we had no problems. We did however on return find the baggage reclaim area a disaster!! Second time we have gone from Edinburgh this year on holiday and on each occasion we have waited over one hour after landing for our bags. We have decided (family of six) not to use Edinburgh again and go back to using Glasgow.”
“Directions provided for mid stay car park were accurate. Car park was reasonably close to teminal. However absence of trolley park meant 2 trips to terminal and back were required. Directions to terminal could have been clearer too.”
