“EXTREMELY expensive for parking for one week.
Also the pick up charges for such a short period are dreadful.
A necessary evil but one I feel that is being unecessarily exploited”
“We arrived to find very few space left (8th July Edinburgh holidays) but managed to park at an end of a row, which wasn't really a designated space but only space where we felt the car would be safe. We have found in the past that spaces were on the tight side and although we don't have a really new car we do look after ours and worry about the car getting dinked due to the tightness of the spaces.
The bus from the long stay car park is quick and reliable.”
“It was a very straight forward service. Easy to find and book. However when we did go to the barrier to leave it came up that we were to pay £120 which was a bit of a shock. The staff were really good though and sorted out the problem quickly.”
“It was nice to know that our car was safe whilst we were away, and the parking was fairly close to the terminal building. However despite the fact that we had pre paid for our ticket we still had to phone through as the payment hadn't registered when we put our card in. It was sorted out very quickly however not the kind of stress you want when you've arrived at 12.15 am! Also there should be numbers on the parking bays.... took us a good 20 mins to find the car again 😂 getting old!”
“I think this is a daft question. Parking never makes people happy - it's just something you have to do. The parking is OK at edinburgh and there are a lot of options but over 330 for a day to park 15 minutes away is a lot of money. If I parked closer to the terminal the parking would cost more than my flight to London. I always get the impression that everything the airport does is about increasing its revenue and less about making the experience better value or more pleasant. But Edinburgh is not alone in that so don't feel special.”
“Took quite a while to actually find a parking space as there was a large volume of cars parked out with marked bays which made entering/leaving a space difficult. We were lucky that we noticed someone leaving, so after guiding them out of the space which was made difficult due to two cars being parked on the road opposite the space, we were able to park. Having pre booked our parking I would not of been happy if I had been unable to find a space. Although there were plenty of spaces on our return, cars were still parked out with bays, so maybe the capacity of the carpark needs increasing.
No problems with booking online, and enter/exit at the barrier was fine.”
“Easy to find a space and efficient bus service. However quite expensive even booking direct. Was £30 more expensive for same length of time as last year!!”
“Vey easy to book and good price for so close.
Finding a parking space very very difficult. Eventually had to leave my car in a hatched area it was so bad.”
“It was easy to find, I found a space quickly and I didn't have to wait long for the shuttle. But it was horribly expensive for two days parking - they made a killing and I even pre-booked online.”
“Only problem I have is finding a space but see that this would be difficult to resolve.
Cost is definitely in issue since I do not use the parking for business purposes and therefor have to pay myself.
I recently had a problem when I accidentally put in a wrong return time - 9am instead of 9pm and was unable to reach anyone for help even after more than 10 attempts on your help line. So I had to cancel my booking (loose £10) and make another one..”
“The bus service was very efficient and I love that the stop is now right at the airport entrance. However, there were no actual spaces left so I had to park in the corner next to the fence.”
“The mid-stay parking is an easy walk to the airport. Probably a bit on the pricey-side if truth be told but a welcome relief after any journey that you're that bit closer to you car, and home.”
