“Easy to drop off and collect the car, friendly and helpful staff. Not so happy with the signage/instructions on leaving which meant we entered the drop off parking area and had to pay £4 to get out or hold up the cars behind us, would have been a good or very good review otherwise.”
“Well, I found parking and the bus to the terminal good. The lighting was excellent and as a lone woman travelling at 3am I felt quite safe.
However, upon my return I had a problem getting out. I had paid in advance but when I put my ticket in to raise the barrier, it said I was over £300 in arrears. I did have my receipt, thank goodness, but it took a bit of a hassle to get a security guard. Eventually it was sorted out, but it is not what you want at midnight. Frances Cameron”
“Making my booking online was simple and quick.
Shuttle bus to and from the terminal runs on a frequent schedule meaning that waiting times were minimal.
I was very unhappy however that on exit from the car park the machine at the gate informed me that I had to pay £170 to get out of the car park. This is not the first time I have experienced this and have had to call on the Customer Service dept to resolve the issue.”
“The size and popularity of the car park make it necessary to factor in extra time to find a space and the frequency of the buses is not as good as Secure Parking. It is good that the bus stop is now nearer to the airport than beyond the tram terminus but it is at the very end of the bus bays. We had to wait 15 minutes for a shuttle bus after a delayed flight home, which with the usual terribly slow Edinburgh airport ability to deliver boarding stairs to the aircraft meant that we lost 35 minutes from landing to getting away. The Edinburgh airort experience is not a good one, and we have taken to using Glasgow if there are comparable flights.”
“We always prebook parking. However, this time when we went to leave and inserted ticket it said we were due £280! We couldn't find the help button so had to reverse, lucky not busy, then park and go over to office in multi storey. Lucky we knew where it was. Turns out the number plate recognition had misread our registration going in. What a hassle and inconvenience after a long flight and waiting ages on baggage.”
“Only problem was I was not sure what to do with reference number. Didn't realise I needed to keep the ticket...but had...and didn't realise the vehicle number was registered on entry so the face I had prepaid was registerd. Perhaps more details given in acknowledgement I printed out.”
“A little disappointed this time around as link bus was 15mins in arriving - easyjet had to re-open gate. This delay on top of a fraught M8 journey was extremely stressful.
Pick-up was great which is what inhave cone to expect”
“I book to park at least once per month and the numberplate recognition has never recognised my number plate meaning I have to call at the barrier every time with my booking reference.
The last two occasions I have booked on surface parking, a temporary sign has been laid out saying the car park is full and to use the overflow R & S zones - yet when walking to the terminal, lots of spaces are visibly available. Very frustrating especially as on the last occasion, no trolleys were available in the overflow zones making getting to the terminal with a baby and luggage stressful and unnecessarily difficult.”
“Good price, car is safe and secure and buses to and from the airport are very regular. We had pre-booked the parking for a set time and price before hand and the only issue we had was the ticket did not work when we went to exit the barrier and said we had to pay £140! We pressed the intercon to speak to someone and it was solved in a matter of minutes by quoting the booking reference number though but still unsure why the ticket did not work in the first place.”
