“Arrived at 7am on 21st March to find that most of the Terminal Surface parking area was full. Spaces were available, but meant a longer walk on a sub zero morning!
On return at 7pm on 22nd, no clear instructions on how to exit with a pre-paid booking. Eventually had to call for assistance and give registration and booking over intercom.”
“Edinburgh airport parking is good for long term parking but less value for money in respect of short term parking where the costs are prohibitively high.”
“I bought a flexibel parking well in advance and got a good price. I had to change the dates.
I then realiced the flexible just ment that I can cansel -and at a £10 pound charge!!.
I then had to rebook to the new date and as that was much closer in time the price was higher than the original. To me this is dishonsest and crooked. I am now looking for alternative parking. Hope you change this system so that customers can trust you.

“Expensive, impossible to get a season ticket, thin bays and a long long walk to get to the terminal. Welcome to my weekly commute. I'd recommend ANY other transport method than car.”
“Rates were fine but my prepaid ticket wasn’t recognised at the barrier, so I had hassle finding the booking reference before speaking to the guy on the intercom. Was sorted out eventually.”
“Signage for bus stances is awful. I walked past where I had been dropped off on departure on my return (perhaps distracted by the trams). Getting to the cross over point for the bus stances a sign stated that I should go to Stance A, but gave absolutely no indication whatsoever of where that was, and it was not visible from that point. There should be a simple map, and perhaps indicator arrows there. As it is currently, it is an utter shambles, and indicative of very poor planning. Bus frequency seemed fine and drivers friendly and helpful.”
“Was fine booking everything but then bit odd when I had to try and convince an attendant that my flight was delayed by 4 hours which is why I could leave the multi storey with my current ticket. I had to show my boarding pass and even then was told that flight was another time not the time I was telling them it was even though I showed the boarding pass. Very odd that it came across that I was lying. Also the glass 'barrier' between the office and where you stand is apparently so thick I couldn't hear what he was saying and he couldn't hear me. Not sure who the staff are trying to protect themselves from or maybe it's a way to avoid speaking to the public.”
“Easy enough to find car drop off point which is almost immediately outside the airport terminal entrance. Simple drop off procedure with pleasant staff to deal with with. Very quick pick up of car on return to Edi airport. The big let down was the fact that the car was not clean. It had obviously been washed long before my return (my guess is the previous day) meaning it had a layer of dust & dirt on it and the shut lines etc had definitely not been cleaned. I also have my doubts if the car had been aqua waxed. I had to clean the driver’s side window before I drove away as it was so dirty as to render it dangerous to drive with the window as it had been left i.e. impossible to see out of. Exit instructions/signs not easy to follow.”
“Although I have rated Edinburgh Airport Parking as 'acceptable', actually it should easily have been Very Good. Easy to find and get to, easy to park, efficient transfer to actual airport and with a pleasant smile and good morning from the coach driver. However, on return from my business trip to Germany, upon collecting my car and proceeding to the barrier I was asked for £80.00! I had to reverse back out of the lane (to avoid inconvenience to others) and try resolve the issue. With howling wind and rain - rather unpleasant. This totally defeated the benefit of on-line booking and of course was disappointing.”
“It is a victim of its own success. Pre booked but difficult to find a free space. I suggest that using mid stay is less of a walk and cheaper than parking beside the control tower. There were problems with the barriers getting out which caused delays for a number of vehicles”
“Difficult to find a parking space. Had to park on hatched white line area. Too many cars allowed in and some poor parking rendered a few spaces unusable because of next car encroaching on neighbouring space.”
“Even though I had prepaid tried to charge me £180 to leave the car park just as well access to an operator who sorted it and after a few minutes I was on my way but this shouldn’t happen”
