“Was efficient when we got there but online booking was poor. We wanted to change our time of departure but could not do so as your site did not allow that.”
“Straightforward to use. Bus transfer was good. Difficult to find a parking space. Be careful of parking at the perimeter fence as very low kerb stones can damage the underside of the car.”
“Parking is excellent right next to terminal. We have used it before , only reason I give 3 stars this time is that on exit barrier didn't lift and the screen instructed me to insert payment card to pay the £499 fee !!! It was pre booked and paid for online 6 weeks earlier. After pressing the help button the attendant checked my ref number and lifted the barrier. After 10 days in the sun I hadn't expected to be brought abruptly back to reality so sharply”
“We pre book online and Everytime we cum to go out at barrier it doesn’t recognise our number plate as pre paid wich is a pest as thers always car behind not happy”
“Number plate recognised at start though not many parking spaces available. Within walking distance of Departures though building works made it a complicated route. Ticket issued made it easy to exit a week later. Good to have my keys with me and the car found where I had left it.”
“We booked and paid for Fast Trak parking in multi storey at airport. This should have ensured quick access to covered walkway taking us straight to security. When we arrived however all the parking spaces were full on the Fast Trak level, which meant we had to go up to a higher floor level, so to access the walkway had to use the lift. On return, we put our parking card into barrier machine and were told we owed an outstanding amount of £499. Not what you want to read when you are exhausted after a long flight. We had to ask for assistance before being able to leave the car park, since the message was obviously a mistake as we were prepaid.”
“The mid-stay parking area is close to the terminal, so we didn't need to wait for a bus. But we encountered a problem when we left; the ticket I received when we went in was supposed to have ensured the barrier just rose on exit; it didn't and I had a few minutes' wait while someone at the other end of the intercom checked (I assume) whether we had in fact pre-paid. When the check was complete the barrier raised. No explanation or apology. The barrier should have raised as we approached, both directions. We had pre-paid and this should have been sufficient to give access and egress without any tickets or fuss.
The work currently under way for the new extension made the access to the terminal difficult, and the signage is inadequate, to the extent that we had to guess which footpath to take on one occasion. As we were there at 5 am, there was nobody around to ask. .”
“It did not and the online booking system was not user friendly because it did not allow cancellation(or amendment) of booking even after 2 mins of booking”
“I have used the official car park many times, it is by far the best option when departing from Edinburgh airport, removing the need to park up somewhere and get bussed in, its also reasonably priced as long as you book in advance.”
