“My name is Akinbode Akinniyi Jeremiah. I parked my vehicle at the Edinburgh Airport Terminal Refundable Car Park on the 15th of March 2025, between approximately 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM.
Upon my return on the 3rd of April 2025, I was deeply shocked and distressed to find that my car had been unlawfully accessed and significantly damaged during my absence. This experience has been incredibly upsetting, especially given that I entrusted the airport facility to ensure the safety of my vehicle.
I reported the incident immediately to both the airport customer care team and the police. The police promptly arrived at the scene, took photographs of the damage, and advised me to drive the vehicle home. They also instructed me to take the car to a garage for a full damage assessment and quotation, while they work on retrieving the relevant CCTV footage from the car park.
I am now contacting you to share photographic evidence of the damage and to ask for clear guidance on the next steps. I would greatly appreciate your urgent attention to this matter and any assistance you can provide in resolving it.
Thank you very much for your time and support.
Kind regards,
Akinbode Akinniyi Jeremiah”
“I booked my parking place on Saturday (booking reference ZOWKXX7JL) and paid. Then when I came to leave the car park on Tuesday night - as planned - I was billed for £115 in order to get out. I had booked to stay until 23:30 - and my ticket says it billed me at 22:41. Perhaps this is all part of an ellaborate April fools joke?
I'm not impressed. How do I get my money back?”
“Utter shambles, there were NO places available anywhere within 200 metres of the terminal. Had to park in a hatched area nowhere near the terminal and to add insult to injury the ticket machine would not accept my receipt. Not impressed considering it was almost £100 for 7 days.”
“Not enough space to write everything wrong about Edinburgh airport! Poor facilities and seating. Chaotic boarding and even worse on arrival. The person driving the steps didn't appear to know what they were doing. Passport control was an absolute nightmare. If I have any friends coming to the UK i will advise them to travel to another airport and use other transportation to Edinburgh!”
“The carparks are inadequately signposted, especially on a dark morning. Having booked into the Mid-Stay park l ended up in the carpark beside the dropoff zone. I only escaped unscathed thanks to anairport worker coming off his shiftwho told me to follow him to the correct park. On my return l inserted my ticket to find a demand for£60!!!! For less than a day's stay.”
“Booking was easy finding a space was terrible and very tight to park in when i did, I also had made a mistake with my booking which granted was my fault and admitted it when i discovered it when trying to leave, i pressed the call button on the exit barrier and was answered by a member of staff eventually that was Arrogant and unhelpful this resulted in me paying another £25 for 10 hours parking, Which granted was my mistake but leaves me with no receipt for this.”
“I booked parking from 10am on the 24 th march to 1pm on the 27th march. I put ticket in to open gate at 12.15 pm on Thursday 27 th and I was charged another £45 for over time? Regards Barry Connaghan”
“Ridiculous, people parking on the lanes, up curbs, no fault of their own. I spent 10 mins trying to look for a space. Presumably oversold to make as much money as possible, I truly believe I was lucky to find a space at all. Charge money to keep a car stationary but not even guaranteed a space. Crazy.”
“Tried to contact you Thursday morning after realising I parked in the wrong car park, after parking as we was unsure if in correct car park but no reply to email so bad experience. Left paying 2car parks .”
“I parked using the FastPark system where you leave your car and they park it in a bay. When I returned to my car Ifound it was not properly parked in the bay. When I got in I found out why - they had not put the hand brake on and it had apparently rolled out. I contacted them about this but they have not replied.
I absolutely would not use again and cannot recommend.”
“Its over priced, and when you pre-book there are no spots available. The signage is horrible. Lots need to be marked better so you know which one you are about to enter.”
“Wasn’t any free spaces when I arrived at the car park. Had to park beside the kerb after doing 3 laps of the car park. To then be stressed on my holiday worrying if my car was going to be there when I returned.”
“I've given this a 1 star only because the first person we dealt with was good. When we arrived at carpark the person asked us if we had any disabilities which we said yes .So we come back from holiday to find car parked at the furtherest away point. Plus driver seat was totally reclined as if someone had been sleeping in it or was playing a game.”
“More complicated than it needs to be . Picked up keys and there was no location notice to tell me where the car was parked and it was not printed on the key either . Took me 10 mins to sort out . Hardly fast”
“Giving you one star for feedback harassment.
You asked for a review on Trustpilot; I provided a good one. Let me be clear that as part of our transaction I'm not obliged or beholden in any way to give ANY feedback at all. But when I've already done so on a platform you requested, you making further requests moves into the realm of harassment. Providing Feedback is a bonus activity, not an obligation I need reminders to fulfill across the internet for you.”
