The booking experience was easy but the area available for parking was packed.due to the one way system it took several trips around the car park before an available space could be found.

Facility does the job nicely but it is becoming more and more horrifically expensive. Car was safe and undamaged upon our return but, despite return taxi not being cheap, it is more likely to be the approach in future I'm afraid.

At Security belt from X-ray with bags diverted for searching was full (no staff to search them), whole queue stopped until staff found, then slow until backlog cleared. At long stay car park on return, had to convince someone on intercom that I had pre-paid and didn't have to pay the £70 that the machine at the exit barrier asked for.

Not enough trolley collection points. Always have to walk too far to get one when we arrive. Number plate reading camera poor - got our ref wrong so we had a 10 minute discussion with someone when we arrived at the barrier in order to get out.

Simple Checkin. Car was secure. Rip off if you overstay slightly. Got charged more for 8 hours (due to missed flight) than I did for the entire week!

easy to book poor experience at the airport compared to other airports we use - ticket instructions say to go and pay at the ticket machines where you tried to charge me over £250 (5x the sum I had been quoted when I booked). Had to speak to someone there and then had to speak to someone again at the machine on the way out, quote booking ref no etc. I got the impression there was supposed to be number plate recognition but clearly something not working..

The car park i booked on the Edinburgh Airport website was listed as Long Stay when we arrived it was sign posted as Mid Stay this is very confusing. Great brand new car park easy to access once you know where you are going. Not greatly signed posted for Airport departures if you arrive when its still dark, that was a nightmare trying to keep to the path, we couldn't see. I think a bus to take you to the terminal would be better, its not the easiest of paths to get to main terminal.

The parking was fine, the bus service was hampered on our return at 19.15 because of the traffic congestion, we waited for 20 minutes at the bus stop. There was no signage to advise when the bus was due. Not everyone waiting was able to board the bus. Our issue is the location of the bus stop at the terminal. Actually it is not at the terminal, for me it is 10 minute or more walk , another element to be factored in to my timetable, and I do not recall any warning of this. For those with even a slight mobility impairment this could be a significant issue. Never mind those trying to manage children and/or luggage. I have not used the long term car park for a number of years, the last time the bus dropped off was directly outside the terminal. The change represents a definite reduction in service.

Instructions/signs at entrance confusing for those who prebook online. Return arrangements unclear where to go. Longest wait in the freezing cold at coach park to be picked up on way back on my trip. At least 15-20 mins wait.

Easy, simple and quick to book parking at airport, slight issue with a £180 fee demand on our return 5 days later at exit station, this was resolved after a second panic drive around the car park as we got no response from intercom button, advised by an operator heading in to terminal to park up and try the building where operations take place.we tried the intercom button once again and received a quicker response this time, luckily I hadn't deleted the email with booking reference and we were allowed to exit the car park at the second attempt.

Parking spaces are very tight for a larger car making it difficult to get in and out of your car if the car parked next to you is not in the centre of its space. Shuttle service to terminal is frequent with no more than a 5 minute wait.

No problems on arrival ,but barrier didn't lift on numberplate recognition pressed button for ticket to access. On attempting to leave using ticket weeks charge was over 140 pounds had to find booking info to talk to machine whereby our online booking was acknowledged ,and barrier lifted. The aperture for numberplate camera appeared to be covered by tape ,so no automatic function , the last thing weary travellers require is to have to 2nd guess car park procedures!

Parking fine. However I did not receive a fast track confirmation email which I had paid for. Please can this be looked into as I feel I am due a refund or compensation.

Upon arrival back at Edinburgh airport at about 11pm we (and about 30 other customers) had to wait in the freezing cold for over 15mins for a bus to come. When it came the driver was friendly but it was packed. It also included small children. I thought it was unacceptable as the majority of your customers pre-book and therefore you know when you will need buses. We had a valid booking reference but upon exit it stated £70. We pressed the intercom button 10 times and it said "engaged". I went for a walk to the portable cabin. Notices just said "use the intercom". A bus was sat nearby, engine running and appeared to be being cleaned. Doors was closed and no one was around. While I looked my girlfriend continued to press the intercom button. After about 10mins waiting finally someone answered. The chap was friendly and resolved the issue using my booking reference, but the delay and error seemed un acceptable.

Everything was fine till my exit where barrier would not let me out as stated I was due £60.00 despite pre-paying,had to contact yourselves where asked for booking reference which did not have handy but eventually found me via registration number of car which confirmed I had pre-paid and the barrier was lifted.

I last used the airport about 5 years ago and I liked it. Now it's been modernised I dislike the following: Car park bus takes you to a not very nice bus stop Awkward to get around No clear directions Confusing Noisy, lots of hustle and bustle Feeling of being treated like a sheep. Forced to do the "walk of shame" through the shops. Limited choice of places to eat Apart from that it's great. I'm comparing it European airports of similar size that I have used.

The good things: easy to get to (they provide simple directions when you book); reasonably priced when pre-booking online; simple procedure if pre-booked (collect ticket on entrance to car park, then provide ticket on exit - no need to visit a pay-machine or office); shuttle busses seemed fairly frequent, even at 6am on a Sunday. Not so good things: shuttle bus drops you quite a long way from the terminal - round the back of the short-stay parking - despite there being bus stops right in front of the terminal building; no luggage trolleys until you reach the tram terminus (a couple minutes walk); signage back to shuttle-bus stance pretty much non-existent - remember to leave breadcrumbs!

Yet again, on exit, I have to call your ticket barrier man - barrier declares I owe £100+ when this has already been pre-paid. PLEASE will you get this sorted, it is HUGELY frustrating when all you want to do is get home!
