I had my car damaged by what I think was probably a trolley.

Dates 7th - 21st sept 18. Used the long term parking onsite. Had to drive around twice to find a space. However a lot of drivers had decided to just abandon their cars on double yellow lines rather than try and find the very few spaces. On checkout, despite having booked in advance, ticket would not be accepted. After giving my booking reference twice, was eventually let out.

Purchased on line Terminal Surface at £49.99 which was to be the total price. On arrival we drove around the WHOLE area and found one space that was so tight that if we reversed our Landrover Freelander in we wouldn't have been able to get out of the vehicle! Also the car driver on either side would not have been able to get into their cars!!We even found that vehicles were parked on stripped lines (where you are not supposed to park)!!!!! We drove round and managed to get some spaces at the top of the multi car park. We arrived at 9.30 on Tuesday morning and returned on Thursday at 3.30. Put ticket into machine and was charged £146.00. We usually fly out of Edinburgh and use the Hotels for an overnight plus parking. We will never ever use the Airport parking again!!!!!!!

Arrived and drive around for ages as there were no spaces. Ended up parking at the very far end which was a good 10 minute walk for us. Noticed at least 3 cars parked out with bays.

When I arrived at the long term car park, despite having prepaid, I found the car park full. Cars in front of me at the barriers were trying to reverse out resulting in chaos and a complete shambles. When I finally got to the barrier the machine would not issue a ticket althougn the barrier was raised for me. The whole exercise of trying to get into the car park took over half an hour.

Booking worked easily. However due to flight delays we were at the barrier to leave only 5 minutes before the booked exit time. Suprise to be denied exit unless we paid £280! Thankfully i had the booking number to hand and the attendent let us out.

Arrival experience was efficient. Some indication of vacant spaces would have been helpful especially since it was dark and difficult to spot empty spaces. Departure was poor and very lengthy. The Bus to the long-stay was more than the publicised 7 minutes. Then after reaching our car there was a very long queue and cosequent delay to reach the exit barrier. Even at the barrier we had to wait several minutes before we could get through because it was blocked by cars waiting to get onto the roundabout to exit the airport. It is pointless increasing the size of the airport terminal and parking without providing the external roads environment to support a good passenger traffic flow and movement to and from the terminal.

Not very good, I was charged extra as my flight was late despite the fact I have not exceeded end of the 48hrs period. I would recommend everybody to select the same time of departure as arrival as the price does not differ.

very expensive; great difficulty finding a space; circulation of traffic at a standstill on arrival because of tailback of taxis queuing to pick up fares;

On monday 3rd Sept we arrived at the airport to see our family off as they were beginning their return trip to Australia. At first we took the wrong turn and had to pay £1 to get out of that section. We drove round and then went into the outside car park across from departures. we went into the car park at 4.24am and waited until our family had checked in and gone through into the departure lounge. We came out at 5.40am and were charged £14.50!! I noticed immediately that the time on the ticket was wrong - it stated 7.23 but there was no-one around to ask so I felt it better to phone when we got home to Fife. I looked online for a phone number but got no answer until after 7.30am. The gentleman I spoke to seemed to find my enquiry quite amusing but gave me another number to call. The next gentleman I spoke to was very helpful but both of these men said we had gone into the multi story car park which costs £14.50 after 1 hour when we didnt - we were parked outside in the open air. This was an expensive 1 hour 20 mins. Thank goodness I booked and paid well in advance for the long stay car park when we left for our holiday on 7th sept. On arrival, we spoke to a man who told us where to park and go to the nearest bus shelter. When we arrived home on the 18th we got the bus from the terminal and packed our luggage into the car. When we got to the gate my husband put the ticket in and it said £230 to pay!!! My husband almost had a heart attack! He pressed the button for assistance and we explained that we had booked and paid online. The gentleman was helpful as he took our car registration and said we should have booked in before we left. He opened the gate for us and thank goodness we didnt have to pay another £230 to Edinburgh airport but we didn't know what else we should have done differently. I think I can say without a doubt we have not had the nicest or most comfortable experience at this airport. We moved to Fife last year and are used to using Heathrow, Gatwick, Bristol and Birmingham airports without any difficulties of this kind at the car parks. I am sorry to say that I'm not looking forward to using Edinburgh airport in the future.

Trying to find where to find the bus pickup point for the long term car park at 3am was not a pleasant experience

Took almost 40 mins to find a space

The reason I saw this simple the layout and signage not only from the multi-storey to fast pass and the general surface to exit machines. The lighting is very poor at night and 10 disabled slots facing the terminal has a pavement which simply ends and you end up in the cars and very few dropped kerbs.

Terminal surface car park is always overcrowded and there is no indication of where spaces may be.

We have used Edinburgh Airport Parking on many occasions and usually it's very convenient. We always pre-book well in advance. However, when we arrived at the parking facility at 0700, Wed 5th Sept the parking area we usually use was full with advice notice placed at the entrance to choose another area R-S. We went to this area and after driving around the parking lot a few times we did eventually find a spot, but it was touch & go! Just as well we had left ourselves plenty of time. Not sure what happens if there are no spots and you have a flight to catch!!

Everything was fine until we tried to exit, the barrier did not open and the message was that we owed £280! This is not what you need after a long journey . The problem was rectified but only as I had carried my paperwork.

Despite having booked a space over two weeks earlier, when we arrived we were forced to park on a verge as we could not find a space. We were not alone as numerous others were parked out with the bays. Staff on buses were pleasant and helpful

Prepayment & Booking was easy and managing the booking convenient (changed the car booked in). Entry worked well and there was some space. When I reached the exit gate (maybe 5 minutes after the planned time) and entered my ticket the machine advised a charge of £133. I resubmitted and the same happened. I called the help system and was asked for my booking reference which was by that time in a case in the back of the car. Huge queue behind and very stressful. Eventually assistance took my name and car number and the barrier opened, but without any explanation or apology. The whole thing was most embarrassing and annoying for the queue behind.

Long Stay parking seems to have very limited spaces available due to work being carried out. Buses are every half-hour most of the time, regardless of what time of day it is.
