“Its an adequate service although I do feel that it is overpriced. Booking in advance now is becoming more difficult as it never seems be available and often whe the basis the macelp at the barrier onn I do book and pay in advance I end up having to call for helget asked for payment.p at the barrier as I do”
“Easy to pre book and great entry / exit process BUT booking in does not guarantee a space. Took 15 minutes driving around waiting for someone to leave. I was one of half a dozen looking for spaces that didn’t exist. I was lucky, others were not. This needs to be addressed!”
“Parking was fine, but when we entered there was no registration number recognition of our booking, which was surprising and a bit worrying. And when we returned after 15 days, we put the ticket in the machine and it showed we owed 525 pounds...that was a really big shock for us (almost had a heart attack). We contacted the attendant who quickly sorted the problem, after we had given him the booking ref number. This was a really unnecessary bit of stress and hassle for otherwise a good stay in the car park.
We don't understand why there was no registration number recognition when we entered the car park

“I don't expect a "luxury" experience when parking my car but I do expect things to go right. Two things went wrong on my last visit. I parked in the multi-storey and pre-booked so I had already given my registration number which is printed on my ticket at arrival barrier. My reg starts with a 6 and, as has happened many times before, the number plate recognition sees this as a G. Annoying as this means a visit to the booth to get it sorted before I leave. Their suggestion is that I book it with a G instead but I don't believe 2 wrongs make a right. Other thing wrong was the free space indicators on each floor were completely out of sync with the spaces available. Wasted time searching for non-existent spaces.”
“At the end of the prepaid parking I put the ticket in and was advised the charge was £210 despite prepay.
The phone was not working so I had to back out and go to a kiosk where the operator advised incorrect number recognition.
This was the 2 nd time this has happened to me in the last 3 visits to terminal surface”
“I have used it many times. It is pricey, which is to be expected. However the bus service to the terminal is very handy, it is generally a very convenient service. The idea is that the machine is supposed to automatically scan your reg number and let you in. This has never worked in my experience. It is a minor inconvenience to have to press the button, give your booking ref to the security person before a functioning ticket is manually issued. But in perspective it's alright it only takes an extra minute to do this.”
“The only problem I had was as I approached the exit barrier and applied my ticket It didn’t recognise that I had paid for my parking but it was rectified once I called and gave my reference no”
“Parking close to the airport with buses running frequently. However lots of work going on in the car park when we used it (May 2018) and it caused us some confusion when trying to locate where we were to get out the bus.”
“I can usually find a space I like, though recently due to construction works in the car park, there have been issued. In terms of negatives, some of hte speed bumps are too severe (in particular, one of the ones to get to the spaces in the J2/3 areas), to the extend that I always avoid it as I don't want to damage my car.”
“Have used the long stay car park at Edinburgh airport quite a few times and would normally have given them 5 stars as it’s easy to find, never have to wait long on the transfer bus and even when flights have been delayed or we have changed our car it has always been simple to get things sorted. The only reason I have marked it down this year is that due to alterations going on there were not enough parking spaces available and cars were parked/abandoned all over the place. We had to drive round and round for ages before luckily someone was leaving and we managed to get their space otherwise we were at the point of just having to leave it anywhere and hope that it didn’t get hit by cars or buses. Surely they must realise that there wouldn’t be enough spaces for the numbers booked.”
“Not happy at pre paying for parking then being asked for £160 on return when I put parking ticket in machine. Parking spaces too small, cars could be easily damaged.”
