Car parking charges for short stays are ridiculously overpriced!! £18 for a few hours and not a baggage trolley to be seen!!! My daughter and grandaughter, buggy, 2 suitcases, backpack, and a carseat. From the car rental centre to the terminal. Please feel free to try it!!!

I book the parking online, fast park multi storey. It asked for a ticket but did not know what to do, had to park out side. Not clear on what the process is. On my return out my ticket in the machine it said I owed £120 had to get help from a member of staff to rectify, overall very unclear particularly as you arrive at at parking areas with several ways to enter and park.

In the absence of a bus, the notion of walking from the long stay to the terminal is ridiculous. No signage whatsoever, and I suspect there isn’t even a continuous pavement connecting them both. The result? Wandering around lost, in darkness, dodging traffic. Shambolic, and a little dangerous.

My flight was extremely delayed meaning that I incurred a fine for overstay in the Valet parking. Rather than waiving this charge the staff told me that I would have to pay and then claim back from the airline. This felt unnecessary and previously when staying in non-valet parking it has just been waived by the parking staff when I got back. Explanation was that it was the valet parking being different from normal parking. Usually have good experiences with Edinburgh Airport Parking - won't use valet again but may use the other car parks.

The multistory parking itself and fast trak was found to be excellent. However the review is marked down due to an event that occured on my arrival. Unfortunately I took the incorrect lane which meant I had to drive through the drop off zone. Although I drove straight through without stopping I was still charged £5. The time taken should be visable to your system that it was not possible for me to have stopped and dropped off therefore no charge applied. The ever increasing charges for drop off is crazy how do you expect passengers to use your airport when they cannot get there.

Signage to the long stay car park was confusing. While we accept we made an error with our on line booking and paid short of the time we arrived back, it was extremely disappointing to be charged an inflated day rate of £55 while our total cost for 4 days prior had been under £40. The attendant on the intercom was not very helpful.

Prepaid medium stay. Ticket didn't work on exit. Had to speak to operator to open barrier. Same happened with car in front (who had been asked to reverse back from barrier - I pointed out that he couldn't as there were 5 other vehicles trying to get out. )

Our pricing is dynamic and continually changes based on many different factors such as demand, occupancy and lead time making it possible for the pricing to change from booking to booking however, we offer competitive pricing against other providers. Getting to the Mid Stay Carp park was easy. Unfortunately when I entered the Car park it seems that the Car Plate recognition must not have been working as it asked me to take a ticket. This did then mean when I tried to exit the Car Park it wanted me to pay £130 for the time I had been in the car park despite already paying with the pre paid service. I did use the Car Park help button and the agent resolved the issue pretty quickly but I did see this happened to other in front of me exiting the Car Park.

Stay here regularly for work. All works well until you have an unexpected delay to your return flight as I did on this occasion. No easy way to contact the airport to extend the booking. Stayed a day beyond the booking and had to pay an eye watering £70 extra. What a way to treat regular customers!

As is set out in our confirmation e-mails and FAQs section of our website, if you need to extend your booking then you should make a new booking that starts when your current one ends otherwise you will be subject to an overstay fee which is charged at the non-booked rate for the car park that you are in. I booked online and in advance in the Medium Stay car park at EDI. I was promised number plate recognition and was surprised that my NP was not printed on the ticket. I arrived and departed well within my allocated times. On departure, I inserted card in the machine to be met with a demand for £100. I pressed the intercom, explained and was asked if my card was in the machine-yes. Barrier simply went up with no explanation of apology. This is not good enough from a courtesy of tech point of view in the 21st century.

Unlike other UK airports, Edinburgh airport requires you to take a paper ticket even when you’ve pre-booked online. Other airports use car reg recognition to automatically raise the car park barriers. I didn’t realise this and when I asked for help from a member of staff I was treated with scorn and spoken to in a sarcastic manor. In future I shall use alternative parking not provided by the airport.

Arrived home a day late as we were caught up in the torrential rain in Barcelona, Spain which resulted in flight delays and cancellations and had to stay overnight again in Barcelona as a result. On our return I was greeted with a £25 excess charge just to rub salt in the wounds. On the confirmation voucher we received when we booked there were NO CONTACT DETAILS so I could have advised of the situation which was very poor. To top it off it took about 15 minutes to get out of the car park as the barrier would not raise and had to call for assistance to be let out. Will be flying from Glasgow in future!

We dropped off our car and on checkin we selected disabled, on return the car was more than half way up the car park, not in one of the disabled bay at the begining of the car park.

The signage to the multi story car park needs to be improved. The cost has doubled since I was last there to a ridiculous level. Parking fine. Fastpath a bonus. Would like to include fastpath back on the ticket as well.
