The parking itself is fine but the problem was when I went to exit the carpark after my weeks cruise the ticket machine told me I had an outstanding balance of £240….the matter was rectified fairly quickly and the barrier raised to allow me out, I’m afraid I won’t be using the carpark again unless the shuttle bus is reinstated, we are two OAP’s and the distance involved in walking is too great when you have suitcases and the weather to contend with 🚗

parking area itself is close to airport and well laid out. Pedestrian access is dreadful on wet and windy weather. Users follows a pavement from the terminal which even where under cover contains large puddles. It evenually turns into grass and customers have to cross the road access and then back again avoiding deeper puddles. Needs a courtesy bus to reach even 20th century standards. An airport such as Edinburgh MUST do better.

Plane parking ok except 1/ No indication where bus will pick you up at airport - asked several people all gavedifferent answers :( 1 o clock inthe rainy morning. eventually walked with case in rain, the 1 ? mile to thecar park. No information on the ticket i.e. bus standtel contact etc. Very poor communications 2/ on exit the machine tried to charge me £180 in additionto the £100 prebooked cost ! However sortedout by the man on the end of the gate phone

Bus not suitable and drivers not helpful in the slightest. On both journeys we boarded a passenger bus, with no room for any sort of luggage apart from two small spaces at the front, and the wheelchair spaces. Luckily there were no wheelchairs or pushchairs on board, so passengers were able to cram into these spaces. Everyone had to take their large suitcases up to their seats with them, including elderly passengers who sometimes had to rely on other passengers to aid them as the driver just sat there barking orders to “move up the bus” so he could pile on as many people as he could, probably to save him another journey. All these people had to stand because the seats were mostly used up for suitcases. Absolutely ridiculous setup compared with other parking services. On the way out, I had to wait 5 minutes for my call to be answered at the barrier as I did not have a ticket. I waited from 03:01 to 03:06. When entering the car park, the machine did not issue me a ticket, instead the barrier just lifted. I thought this was normal as I had pre booked online. However according to the person I was speaking to, the car park operates on a ticketing system. Obviously it doesn’t work very well if you’re not even given a ticket when you arrive. Normally the machines would issue you a ticket and the barrier would not rise until you take the ticket but as mentioned before, the barrier just lifted as I approached the machine with my window down. I don’t think I’ll be parking in the plane parking section again as I’ve never had any of these issues with the other car official car parks so not sure what makes this one any different.

Parking is becoming increasingly difficult in this car park as it is often nearly at capacity. This is the third time I have had to park in the roof and there was only one space left. Does have the advantage of fast track security which you will need as you will have wasted so much time trying to find a space. The floor space indicators are not accurate.

parking options are fine but I feel the cost is is far too high, even when booked well in advance. The usual excuse is 'dynamic pricing', a policy which surely should be reviewed in light of the recent events surrounding the pricing of tickets for rock & pop concerts

Thank you for your review. We always encourage passengers to pre-book parking. We offer car parking pricing for 2 years in advance for different lengths of stay. Our pricing is dynamic and continually changes based on many different factors such as demand, occupancy and lead time making it possible for the pricing to change from booking to booking however, we offer competitive pricing against other providers. I used Plane Parking for the first time. I had no trouble finding a space and didn't wait long for a bus. On the return, there was a bus waiting at the stop so no delay in getting back to the car. All good, you might say. Except... I didn't realise the bus stop was such a long walk from check-in. I had expected that an airport bus service would stop right outside the terminal. I had also expected to be able to get a trolley at the bus stop. Getting from the bus stop to check in without a trolley was a frustrating and tiring process. I will not use Plane Parking in future.

In comparison to other fast parking airport parking, Edinburgh airport lacks any personal touch. Parking cameras also couldn't read my plate on the way out and prompted me to make further payment

Far too expensive . Not evan parking on tarmac . I drove to Edinburgh 129 miles each way because Aberdeen is so expensive to park but now you are the same price ...not very happy . A rip off

Road to plane parking has been resurfaced (much needed) which is good. Pre-booked parking and process re ticket unclear. Bus to airport was gone. On return minibus from another company collecting, nothing on this bus (not even an A4 sheet in the window to indicate this), which gave safety concerns. Seatbelts on this minibus were not working. On exiting the car park out ticket in machine which advised bill if £150 to pay. Pressed the call button and it was resolved, however, this process is a routine issue at Plane Parking. Highly recommend use Secure Air park instead, shorter transfer, more frequent buses and ANPR with no ticket problems.

Easy to find, great process to park and really quick. Easy to understand return but couldn't find zone B as a bit confusing. I saw lots of people trying to find zone B as signposting not good at all, and it was pouring with rain and had two kids with us.

After booking in advance, advising of return flight car wasn't available on return. Had to wait to find a attendant to ask why. The answer was - oh sorry but roads busy - my reply was but surely you don't leave delivery to last minute. Shrug of shoulders then 30 minute delay to get car. Travelling with two 6 year olds not a good service. Pretty disgusted with service and attitude.

Dropping the car off was fine but when we arrived to pick up car at 02:00 in the morning with 2 young children our car wasn’t ready along with many other people. We were told we could have between 20 minutes to 1 hour wait for our car. This isn’t acceptable when I paid over £100 for this service.

Thank you for your review, It sounds as though our automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system hasn't registered you upon entry. When this occurs, it means our system doesn't match you to your booking and you are then charged the roll-up rate in error upon exit and I understand the frustration that it causes however I'm glad you managed to get it sorted at the time. Operating a shuttle bus on this service which doesn't have luggage storage spaces is really not helpful as the vast majority of passengers have luggage with them. Puts me off using again.

Getting in was ok, though I noticed my ticket didn’t have my reg. number on it. Getting out was a nightmare. The ticket machine didn’t recognise my ticket, I couldn’t get an answer from the office and the traffic was building up behind me. You need to get that sorted.
