“Ok pricing. Poorly marked walking routes. Clearly spots are being oversold as people were parked in quite hectic fashion over the driving paths at row ends. Lack of shuttle was less than ideal at 1am in cold rain.
Signage to the exit was terribly lacking and some are facing the wrong way.
Spaces themselves are wide enough and the lots are well lit for safety. It's a decent service, but with vast room for improvement.”

“Easy to find. But limited spaces. Should have three bus stops and not two. If it’s raining expect your feet to get covered in what looks like quarry dust.

“The parking prices have risen steeply since the beginning of 2023. I've only managed to park once at the Edinburgh long stay carpark because of the increases. There should be a better pathway and sign posting from the carpark to the start of the actual pathway. It's all a bit sketchy without an actual walkway until you reach the kiosk area just outwith the parking perimeter fence. I saw a fair few cars which were not parked in spaces. Surely that shouldn't be permitted? For my next trip to Edinburgh airport this week, I've opted for the train and tram which is half the price.”

“I really like the FastPark, it’s convenient and generally good value. However, this time our flight was delayed by just an hour, there was a wait to get off the plane at the airport due to lack of staff and a massive queue to get through passport control that took forever to clear and when I eventually got to my car I got charged an extra fee due to the delays caused by the airport!! Given it was 2:30am I wasn’t in the mood to argue so just paid it but not happy.”

“Easy access but too long a walk to the edge of the park. Also a very rough path. Very long way to airport. Greatly miss the shuttle bus. Prices seem to have risen quite a lot.

“Drop off was as described, and straightforward.
Collection was not so convenient. Arriving in the early hours, it was raining; collected the key and, foolishly, thought the car would be lined up for us. No, we had to walk through to the top of the car park to find it. The exit signage in the dark was not easy to follow.”

“The car park barrier was very busy and it is not easy to find a space, however it is close to the terminal. Road markings are not clear and the footpaths could be better, however when we picked up our car a day late due to a cancelled flight the attendant was very helpful.”

“Once inside the multi-storey it was straightforward, although directions from the opposite side of the car park on level 2 to the bridge were non-existent and I only eventually found it when I was ultimately driving to the exit.
I had read the directions to the multi-storey via terminal parking repeatedly before arrival. It sounded complicated and indeed it was. The online maps were confusing and insufficiently detailed. Signposting at the entrance to terminal parking was appalling, worsened by a sign by one entrance lane reading 'Coach parking only'. The fact that I was doing it in the middle of the night didn't help and I ended up blocking the exit lanes by trying to avoid the apparent 'Coach parking only' lane, having been unable to distinguish them from the entrance lanes and not realising that the exit lanes emerged at the same roundabout exit as the entrance. And I wasn't the only one. During the minute or two I spent there, another car was having similar problems to my own. Despite the time of day, we nearly ended up having several bumps, as we tried to negotiate our ways back into the entrance lanes in competition with the other vehicles trying to enter Terminal parking.
It detracted significantly from the overall experience. Much more distinguishing architecture and signposting, easily visible at night (which road markings are not) at the Terminal parking entrance is required along with much, much clearer explanation and detailed mapping of the Terminal parking layout and lanes (entry and exit) in the online literature is required.”

“Being unfamiliar with Edinburgh Airport arriving in the dark, very early in the morning, it was not easy to find out which part we had paid to park in. Fortunately a security van helped us.
On return to the airport, once again in the dark, after a rather harrassing flight, we found it difficult to navigate to the exit signage could be better. At the barrier, we were met with a request for a £200 fine despite having paid in advance - not something you want to cope with at midnight!”
Thank you for your review. It sounds as though our automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system hasn't registered you upon entry. When this occurs, it means our system doesn't match you to your booking and you are then charged the roll-up rate in error upon exit. This doesn't happen often but when it does, I understand the frustration that it causes.

“The whole thing is very easy to use and the location is fine. However, I parked for one day which was £30 and my flight was delayed until 1.30am the next day. For that I was charged another £30. So I was charged £60 for less than 24hrs parking.”

“I stayed in the Long Stay Car Park. Once again the parking was chaotic with cars parked in non-designated spaces. I suspect that the car park is being over sold as there were actually no spaces. This happened to me in the summer time as well.”
