“Looked at different options for parking this year and went with ‘Plane Parking’ as this had a lot of positive reviews (which in hindsight, were probably made outside of peak season). Reserved / paid online in advance and everything sorted.
Upon arrival just after lunch, the barrier mentioned that the place was full, but barrier opened regardless. I assume as we were booked in that day and counted in amongst the number of cars for that timeframe.
Drove around and around the place and found that there may have been a couple of spaces left had a pair of complete bellends not double parked over two bays. That left us driving around in circles and waiting for people to return before the next available spare was available. Very poor.
There should be something enforced to prevent people from double parking over two bays, as if we had not experienced this issue, the whole process would have been much easier and straightforward.”
“We used longstay as a family for a holiday. As always it was great. I just have one thing to ask though… Normally I use it to pick up and drop off family and friends using the 30mins free function. Please can I request that you extend this to one hour. 30mins is just not long enough to park, walk to the terminal to meet loved ones and help them with cases etc often in the winter/dark/middle of night, walk back and exit without stress and in less than 30mins. Very often I have to sit and wait for plane to land/passport control etc, having to exit the carpark after 25mins and immediately re-enter, sometimes several times. In fact once I mis-managed it and ended up having to pay a tenner to get out. You must also be aware by now of all the cars parking up on grass verges/outside people’s houses/in bus stops/laybys/local garage etc etc just waiting for flights to arrive because they either don’t want to pay for terminal carpark pickup or they want to leave it until their loved one is actually ready so it ‘only’ costs £8.50. Then often I have experienced passengers walking up to the Hilton/Moxy roundabout to be picked up there for free which is v dangerous and causes congestion. I think extending the free stay to 1 hour would go a long way to solving these issues! Please consider extending the free dropoff/pickup to 1 hour. It will help passengers, family members, surrounding residents and businesses, improve safety and help reduce pollution. It will also encourage people to use this further away option and help keep the terminal carpark less busy at peak times. Many thanks, David.”
“Have stayed at both the mud stay and long stay car parks. Easy to find and also easy to enter and leave. Barrier didn’t lift at 4am and the assistance person was really nice and helpful. Only problem I encounter is the space size which aren’t the longest/widest but as long as everyone parks in the middle of their space it’s manageable”
“The parking itself was good but when we tried to get through the barrier it told us we were due £620 for the stay despite having pre-booked. Managed to contact someone over the intercom who let us through but it was a pretty stressful event which makes us less likely to book parking in future. It may have been due to a mistake on our part but it was all very unclear.”
“Very good service the only complaint i had was werewolf where told to park was a good distance from the place you had to leave the keys and when I told them I had a blue badge it didn't seem to make any difference ok when we came back car was sitting in a blue badge space”
“FastPark at Edinburgh Airport delivered a genuinely seamless experience. Travelling with a blue‑badge holder was effortless thanks to the outstanding accessibility and the quick, attentive support from staff on the ground. Returning to find our car placed in a disabled bay was the final touch that showed real care. All round, an excellent, stress‑free service.”
