We had our car parked in the fast park at the airport for the week beginning the 16th of October until the 23rd of October. We noticed the car has a small bump down near the drivers seat. We are not sure if this happened while the car was parked there or before. We’re asking if we could possibly see the video footage of the car, to see if it happened there or before we came to the airport.

“Booking process appeared simple, sent instructions with directions by email, followed these to gain accesss to car Park. However on trying to leave, informed I had parked in wrong park and was liable to extra charges, negotiated release, but evidently sent wrong instructions.
Also note, no shuttle bus now running and quite a long, exposed walk from car park to terminal, may be tricky for older, frial people or those with lots of luggage.”
Our long stay shuttle bus was suspended in 2020. The car park is an approximate 12 minute walk to the terminal and we find it to be a manageable distance for most customers. Those who find the distance unmanageable can contact us directly to discuss how we can support them.
The long stay car park is marketed as a facility that does not have a shuttle bus and this is confirmed on our website and booking confirmations.

“I arrived back to Edinburgh airport on Friday 20th October 2023.
I had put my parking place code in my mobile phone
And my mobile phone ran out off charge .
When I got to the car park I couldn't find my car as the lighting wasn't very good to see up all the lanes.
There was nobody about to even help me to find it.
It took me well over hour until I eventually found it by pressing on my open button on my keys.
Surely there must be a better system than this and you are stranded without any help.
I looked around to see if there was anyone there who could have took me up each individual lane in a car or bus to see if I could locate it.
I got to the car park about 9pm but no one was available. I was very fortunate to find it as I was thinking about maybe going to a travel lodge and to try again in the morning, as I stay in Glasgow.”
Thank you for your review. All of our car parks are manned 24/7 as well as at the parking office which is located on the ground floor of the Multi-Storey car park. In future if you have any issues locating your vehicle if you head to the parking office the team may be able to assist.

“Easy booking and no problems when arrived. There was plenty of spaces. On our return drove up to the barrier and the machine told me Inwas due £515. Pressed the intercom and several minutes later a gentleman answered, I told him I had already paid and he opened the gate. Although I didn't have to pay it was a surprise at the end of a long flight.”

“I paid in advance of my trip arrived with the number plate recognition no working. Took my ticket and asked the attendant if I was OK he told me that he recognition was no working but when I return all I have to do was put my ticket in the machine and it will let me go.not the case the machine wanted payment to let me go .had to wait until the phone answered to explain that I had already paid. Eventually I could go. Definitely no easy.”

“Start of the holiday was good. Clear instructions and plenty of staff around to support our first trip into Fast Parking. However, on our return the keys were not in the area they said they would be. Staff were very helpful but not the experience I expected. Would be good if there were signs at eye level to show where the car park numbers are as I missed the numbers on the ground in the dark and wondered around aimlessly looking for my car.”

“Plenty of spaces to be found on arrival to the designated parking area - although the resultant walking route to the terminal building is a bit ramshackle and poorly signed - with some sections of lying water on the walking route.
On our return to Edinburgh Airport after being away for two weeks, we noticed a fallen sign still lying on the ground at the side of the walking route, in the exact same position where we had seen it lying two weeks previous - and no one seems to have bothered to pick it up!
Okay parking provision but could be better.”

“A few more spaces than I have found recently, so less driving around searching. There should be some sort of shelter on the walkways, it is necessary to have waterproof clothing and take it on the plane if there is the slightest risk of rain.”

“Despite paying for a '2min walk' to the terminal, it was more like 7mins from the side of the car park we found a space on. I feel we did not get what we paid for.”
“We were booked for the fast pass on the 16 th October for 10 days but I became ill the day before and had to go to the doctors. I received an unfit to fly letter from them I did send an email to edinburgh airport parking about this but recieved no reply. We paid a £154.99 but as was I’ll within the 24 hour cancellation couldn’t cancel online. Booking ref 3NY3DR8U6 I did offer to forward the doctors letter but no reply and sadly no refund. As I’m sure it would have been very unwise for me to travel with a virus I seem to also be penalised. Lynda Campbell”

As our parking does not have a fixed rate (unless you roll-up, which is considerably more expensive that pre-booked) that means it's dynamic and can change based on the factors stated. Our pricing structure and calculation method is not dissimilar to that of many other businesses and airports.

“Unfortunately the car park was very busy resulting us having to park at the furthest away point, it was not ideal as I currently have a mobility issue, also not pleasant in the cold and rain.”

Thanks for your review. I understand the annoyance of ending up parked at the back of a car park but unfortunately, there's little we can do to avoid this.
You mention you have a mobility issue and I would encourage you to make use of our disabled parking bays in future (which are located further into the car park), if you have a blue badge.

Plane Parking is a facility which is serviced by a shuttle but and loops the campus continuously. The shuttle bus enters Plane Parking approx. every 15 minutes.
