I have used this parking facility previously and found it good value and easy, however on this occasion having pre-paid I arrived back at 01:30 in the pouring rain to find that the exit machine wanted to charge me £140, I could not move and had to recover my reference number from my luggage in the boot...in the rain before I could speak to the adviser who was very helpful as you would expect having dealt with the gent at the next barrier who was being charge £200 after pre-paying.

As a regular user I'm not happy with the quality of the car parks as they are often overcrowded and for (upto) £40/day very expensive. The one I use is just a plain tarmaced area that is shared with the Private Hire and Taxi pick-up area so often difficult to get out of. I did sign up as a 'member' but this doesn't give me any benefits so little point. Generally I think the servicee is a complete rip-off.

Absolutely appalling service at Edinburgh airport. Not only did I return to significant damage to my vehicle, to be told by the attendant that this happens frequently, I then had the misfortune of dealing with the most arrogant individual I have come across in two decades of customer service. Apparently your CCTV can't cover every car and that despite advertising safe and secure parking you don't actually provide this at all... Merely a space to park! To top it all the manager who called claimed to have been investigating this last night when the attendant clearly told me he had left for the day. Utterly appalling.

Mid Stay Parking Ref 3157938 seemed reasonable value for money until check out..............on exit machine asked me to pay £240. At midnight it is dark and the little help button is very difficult to see. Drove to pay machine and foned for assistance told . Told to drive to exit insert ticket and fone quoting No by pressing 3rd button on the right. Did this 4 times. Eventually operator agreed there was no 3rd button on roght. EXIT MACHINE BUTOON DID NOT WORK. eVENYUALALY AFTER 20 TRIES IT DID. qUOTED ref No and barrier lifted...................told incompetence................no apology. This service is enough to give most people a stroke or heart attacked. Plus why cant there by a big EXIT sign as you leave the car park. I would like a written apology to 2 Shanter Place Alloway KA7 4RD or russellhannah@tpllp.com. I suffered stress anxiety and wasted 30 minutes of my valuable time. The Nanny STATE and the FCA says my charge rate can be £150 per hour. I calculate you owe me £75 excluding compensation for stress and anxiety. Russell Hannah

Grossly overpriced to the point of being disgusting. Go to SecureAirparks - better service and only charge £5 not the £30 being asked this money grabbing airport.

Signage for various parking areas inadequate. Exit signage the same. God forbid your pricing charges. I arrived home after my allotted time and was charged an extra £29 for half day. Is this normal? I will do anything in the future to make sure I do not use the airport parking. There are so many different charges in operation. If I make an enquiry, but don't proceed I was told I can have 15% discount. If anyone books straight away they pay the full rate. This is screwing the customer to the extreme

I pre bought parking at the terminal building for £i6.99 on a deal. On exiting last night there was no recognition of my reg. and an attempt was made to get the full price of nearly £120. Not good enough!

Unfortunately, my car broke down on the way to the airport and had to arrange a taxi there and a bus return. I'd be extremely disappointed if I was still charged for parking that I could not use. Bernadette O'Brien

Overall the arrangements on the ground for parking at Edinburgh Airport are confusing and have been for some time in the past. (knowing where to go, what the significance of the various signs is the drop off and pick up being particularly problematic. When making the recent booking for a new mid-stay car park it was difficult to know from the website where it was. It is nearly as far as the long stay in places but without the convenience of a bus to help with luggage or in inclement weather. The signage from the car park is hopeless and unfamiliarity at night could cause confusion. Prebooked tickets have to be presented at the barrier and on last night's occasion the flight was very late (arriving 1.30 am) the ticket time had expired and we were faced with a possibly £90 excess charge. Thankfully there was still someone at the enquiry button who was able to help us and let us out. I still don't know whether we were charged an excess and have to appeal it.

Hi folks, Booking Ref EDI-LSSD-3116747 I'm afraid the car parking at the Long Stay parking is becoming a bit of a shambles. We arrived back into Edinburgh yesterday, 11th Sept and after waiting about 10 minutes for the transfer bus we decided that we had no option but to walk to the car park due to the surrounding roads being grid-locked with cars and with no hint of the transfer bus appearing. We eventually exited the car park at about 15.25pm with still no sign of the transfer bus on the horizon. We had a similar experience in June when Flower Scotland was taking place and it took us 50 minutes to get from the car park to the terminal building on the bus hence the reason that we decided to walk this time. Unless some sort of solution is found we will have to consider carefully our options before we book in the future as we would expect some sort of an efficient service to be in place. Mr J Pringle

Arriving at 6am the road in was a traffic jam which took 1/2 hour to clear. The signs to mthe car park were either non existent or very poor. We followed a P sign and arrived in drop off area. Bu good fortune we had a £1 coin in the car. Finding the mi car park from there was lacking in clear signs. the walk to the terminal took 10 valuable minutes. NEVER AGAIN! The final insult was the car number was not recognised and ot took 8 iminutes to get a response and the gate opened

Expensive. Busy. Dirty. FastTrack bridge is only useful if you are only travelling with hand luggage.

The bus transfer fro the long stay car park involved too long a wait for the bus to arrive. The drop off point for the long stay car park is now far too far away from the terminal. It involves a walk outside. In bad weather this is useless

Booked valet parking. Followed the instructions, and waiting at the valet bay. Fifteen minutes later, still waiting. No phone number on reservation. Went to the "help" button and they sent someone. Incredibly rude "attendant" said we should have made contact as soon as we arrived. We showed him our emailed instructions and he said "they are wrong". Sort it out. Horrendous service.

Last minute flight and the price of parking for less than 2 days was shocking Paid less for 7 days away in summer If I had more time would have made other arrangements Never mind paying a fair price but hate being robbed

Parking was great. But airport was terrible. On our return there were 3 desks checking passports for 4 flights. Took ages to get through. There was a sign saying it will be sped up doon by a fast track... which is basically a paid service to jump the queue, while the normal queue will then go slower due to the priority line. Then the belt for luggage was broken....as all 4 flights of people waited. Useless service and forthcoming "improvements" will make it worse.

Tried to book usual short term parking, website useless. Phoned and got helpful guy who said parking changed , no notice. Why did website not say 'full' then we would all know what we were doing which Edinburgh Airport obviously do not.
