“It made me happy by being close to the terminal building.
It made me unhappy by being ridiculously expensive and by not indicating where the available parking spaces were.”
“Bays aren’t very big, came home to a dented door and had to climb over from the passenger side.... Poor parking isn’t their fault but the bays are tight....”
“Main surface car park was full when we arrived, which was disappointing considering our place was booked, but we were put in what looked like an overflow car park very close by, (on the other side of the exit road to be specific), so all was well. This is normally a very good service.”
“Parking is good, but what infuriates me is every time I'm leaving the car park when I put my card in at the exit barrier it always states invalid card!! I then have to press the button to speak with a person which always results in them asking for my reference number which takes me a minute to find in my email then I have to wait while they check, causing a hold up behind me and more to my annoyance a hold up for me!! And I never get an answer as to why this happens??”
“The proximity to the terminal building and ease of access. The spaces could have been bigger though and the number of cars park badly was ridiculous, so much so that they rendered some spaces unusable.”
“The multi storey car park is very convenient for the airport terminal and it is good to have the car undercover given current weather conditions.
Parking charges are crazily astronomical though.
Really don’t know how parking the car for the day can cost more than the flight. How can the airport justify this?”
“I think the improvements to the on line booking system are great - especially the validation of the number plate and confirmation to mobile phones. Much more user friendly. However on the other hand the process is let down when you can’t actually park your car in the surface car park nearest the airport and have to park in zones R and S. May as well book mid stay car park as it is so far away especially if you are in a rush. I think it’s a bit cheeky especially when NATS takes up the spaces in favour of paying customers.”
“I like ease of access to the terminal from the terminal surface but eveen if you book in advacen, whcih I always do, it is beoming increasingly difficult to find a space and often I have to crawl up and down the lanes for 15 minutes before I find a space. I don't think this is good enough for people who have booked in advance.”
“When leaving the car park I inserted the ticket provided. It told me I had an outstanding balance of £280. This was rectified by the man I spoke to through the intercom, after I searched my emails for the reservation number. Could have done without that worrying moment after a long day of travel.”
