Process wasn’t very clear. I pre booked and paid in advance, arrived at the gate on entry and was issued a ticket at the barrier. It had my car registration on it. When I exited, I inserted the ticket at the barrier and it asked me for £140. It was quickly resolved however by pressing the help button and explaining. I’m still not clear whether I followed the instruction on exit or entry because it wasn’t clear.

One continual frustration is the attempt by the system to charge you for staying over the guessed time of arrival - when through no fault of my own the flight back to Edinburgh is delayed. At the end of a long day the last thing you need is to have a conversation at the exit barrier to explain - just drop these attempted extra charges.

Appalling 1 How you should charge anything to park at Edinburgh Long Stay especially in dark bleak Scotland 2 No buses from Long Stay to Booking In 3 Off loading luggage from plane always far too long. 4 very poor light on entrance machine 5 Number registration did not work .Control phoned and we were issued another ticket and were forced to pay another £90 on return

Well located with adequate spaces within reasonable walking distance from terminal. Problems at the exit point when barriers would not lift when ticket inserted , lots of drivers having the same problem at the same time last Saturday night which is difficult as the comms button for help is not illuminated so difficult to see from a car in the dark.

I had to ring the bell twice to understand where to go and what was going on. I had a booking for the multi storey and when I was about to leave I was asked to pay 225£. I had to press the help button again to be able to exit. I'd park in other parking at the airport, such as fast parking...

The system and process let me down. I paid online in advance my £35.99 for 2 days of parking. On arrival, I took a barrier ticket and when I wanted to exit the machine charged me £110 for the parking. My registration number was clearly marked on the ticket. So I am owed £110 please. I have made this complaint but awaiting a response.

easy enough to get parked. 10 min walk to terminal was fine on departure. 10 min walk back in pouring rain not so much, only to find i needed a boat to get to my car which was surrounded by a giant puddle. then the over long wait to have the intercom answered because the prepaid system didn't seem to be working. all in all not great, but the lack of terminal shuttles at a scottish airport going into winter?? seriously?

This was a poor experience. Entry was fine and since it was a Thursday morning in November, there was plenty of space to choose from so no problems there. Signage to the terminal building was though poor - I had to look for the gap through the fencing to take me from long stay into mid stay and only then was it clear where the exit was to take me to the building itself. Worse on the way back because it was nearly midnight. When I tried to exit the car park the automatic number plate system didn't work and there was a request for me to pay £75 for two days long stay parking (which of course I had pre-booked). I then had to reverse from the exit gate because it didn't have a connect button for the control point. I eventually discovered the far left point had that service and after waiting 2-3 minutes for the call to be answered and giving my registration number I was eventually allowed out. Not a great experience I have to say.

I use the multi storey car park every week and I am fed up leaving the car park for the barrier screen to request payment when I’ve pre paid ?, only to be told that your ANPR doesn’t work properly!!! and needs replaced!!!, the Edinburgh airport experience is tragic enough without being consistently blocked from leaving the airport due to substandard faulty equipment.

My ticket was not recognised as prepaid and thus the barrier would not open. No one answered the 'call' button on the machine. I phoned the 'help' number on the ticket machine and received nothing but automated replies. Tried the 'call' button again and finally someone answered and was able to sort out my booking and ticket.

Ticket wasn’t recognised at departure after midnight before a two hour drive home. Frustrating!

Barrier didn't recognise my prepay ticket & requested £60. No-one responded to the assistance request. Parking bays are unreasonably small.

Finding the entry point to the Multistorey Car Park was OK. Finding the Multistorey car park on returning to Edinburgh airport was more difficult with a sign missing when there was a choice between two directions very near the car park foyer. I had already commented on this earlier in the year re lack of signs from the airport terminal to the Long Stay Car Park. My main complaint was when I arrived at the barrier to exit the car park in the evening. Although I had paid for my car parking in advance when I arrived at the barrier my ticket was not recognised and I was asked to pay £360. I retrieved my ticket and tried numerous times still getting the same response. The lighting on the panel is too dim or non-existent therefore it is impossible to know what the various buttons were for. When I pressed the only lighted button I could not hear the response, if there was any! With the assistance of the driver behind we eventually managed to speak to someone and on giving our car registration number the barrier was finally raised and we managed to exit the car park. This was a very poor experience for us who were using this car park for the first time and we would need some reassurance that it would not happen again before we would consider using this car park. I would like to be able to say that it only happened to us but in fact everyone who tried to exit the car park in front of us experienced the same problem. We watched at least four cars ahead of us and they all had the same problem. Ticket number: 027300

Number plate recignition never works so always tries to charge an exorbitant sum when leaving, despite having already prepaid. Exit signs are also sadly lacking

The direction provided to the car park does not match the signs at the airport. This requires an update. After placing the ticket in the machine on the exit it wanted to charge me the full amount for my say. This delayed my exit till a member of staff confirmed my booking.
