“The only minus point was that due to the airline delay it was over to the next day and a payment of £16.20 was required to leave the car Park this was in spite of when booking giving flight number for my return to Edinburgh”
“Pick up was fine, but it wasn't clear where to get the transfer bus on way back from the airport. The stance has moved and there was no information until we had walked to the old bus park, only to find a sign asking us to retrace our steps. Frustrating after a long day's travel.”
“On exit I was advised I owed £150. This was a shock to say the least considering I had already paid in full. I had to call for assistance at the barrier and search for my reference on my mobile to ensure I could confirm I didn't owe any money. This was done and I was able to leave, however not ideal considering I wanted to naturally get home quickly without any hassle.”
“Pre-booked for 4 days at a reasonable rate and 10min wait for pick-up each way was not unreasonable but stressful if running late for a flight or very chilly on a cold day in February. Surprised to present my (pre-paid) ticket on exit well with my allotted time to have the display say I had a £110 outstanding payment. A quick call on the barrier intercom and giving my car reg' soon lifter the barrier. Not sure what that was all about when I had gone through the correct process.”
“Edinburgh Airport Parking is reasonable value for money if you book in advance. I had to travel to London at short notice, I didn’t book in advance and it cost me £90 to park overnight in the terminal car park. Booked parking online for later the same week and it cost £36 for a slightly longer stay in the same car park.”
“Its not cheap but occasionally deals are available. The long stay bus run is a chore for me - more waiting!! and a ridiculous drop of point!! The Mid stay is a winner as is terminal Surface (even more so).”
“The instructions for how to use and get to the parking were clear and easy to follow and the parking facilities were good and close to the airport. However, the walkway to the airport was quiet and surrounded by construction sites which made me feel quite vulnerable as a woman travelling alone. I was worried about returning later at night but it was at least well lit.”
“I park in midstay. it's easy and close to the airport. however I always pre book but the barrier never usually identifies I have which means I spend time digging out my reference on way home. Otherwise it's a decent parking area.”
“The parking process is efficient, no complaints there. However, if you do not book in advance and just drive up you will be outrageously ripped off. £110 for 2 days! Shameful and clear profiteering!”
“Arrived back from Tenerife , got delayed due to emergency landing , was late 2 hrs and got extra charges £3 ? Is still the same date why charged more ? Thought its daily charge ! Not impressed !”
“Booking and entry to the Airport Long Stay carpark was good and the shuttle to the buildings was good BUT THE RETURN FROM THE AIRPORT WAS BAD AS THE SIGNAGE WAS VERY BAD. THERE WERE SIGNS TO THE COACH PARK BUT NO CLEAR SIGNS TO THE STOP PLACE FOR THE LONG STAY COACH ( WHICH HAS BEEN MOVED FROM THE PREVIOUS PARKING PLACE)”
“Good locations and good to have different price points of parking available etc. however could be better sign posted.
Very easy ticket system with no issues here and great that it can be prepaid and booked online in advance.
Spaces are quite tight and not easy to manoeuvre into at times.”
