“Great opportunity at a reasonable cost to park at Edinburgh airport. Generally a good service .
However, a few points that would perhaps enhance the service.
1) I only booked this space late afternoon for the same day parking, flight was at 8 pm, and the app worked well. I negotiated payment and received confirmation on my phone
However, I couldn't find an overall map of where the parking site was! I knew Edinburgh airport but where?
At this point I was fitting in at the Park and Ride at Ingliston and not sure how to navigate to your car park. I eventually re-entered into the airport area and saw the notices to your parking. However , that was after driving around on the Ratho road for 20. Minutes trying to find your site. I would have appreciated more signage in the area around the approach to the airport slip road and in the initial area as you enter off the slip road into the airport road system. I eventually found very good signage but felt it was too deep into the airport before it was visible.
Can you add signage either before the slip road or just as you approach the first roundabout as you exit the slip road?
2) On approach to your Entry barrier , I thought the camera would scan my number, issue a ticket , then open the barrier. I had to request a ticket by pressing button and was left wondering if I was going to have to pay with ticket to exit! Given I had already prepaid? Not sure why I had to issue a ticket myself? Maybe a fault, maybe my booking hadn't yet added to system . I did eventually read all the instructions and it appeared to me that the barrier should open after scanning my number.
Can you explain?
3) On exit from airport I found the bus stop , but was confused to find that the bus sitting at the stop was an Edinburgh Lothians bus in their livery. Only after standing for 20 minutes did I approach the driver to confirm if he was indeed ELT . He confirmed that he was not and that he was a Plane Parking bus and that they were using Edinburgh Lothian buses for the interim. I suggested that a sign on the window to indicate Plane Parking would be helpful, as I didn't appreciate the bus stop was only for the use of Plane Parking.
4) On exit, I had to buzz the operator to ensure that they opened the barrier based on my pre-booked registration, rather than me entering the ticket id issued from machine on my entry see point 2 above.
I was dealt efficiently and politely and the barrier was opened. However I was at the near side exit barrier and the buzz intercom wasn't working. I had to get out the car and go to the offside barrier.
Apart from above, the service was good and I'd certainly use you again. I believe , that addressing the above points would make your service even better.

“Fast Park is a little more expensive than the ordinary parking but is perfectly placed. Literally across the road from the entrance to the terminal. The process is easy and fast and the staff are great”
“First time using fast park. I found it really easy and there were staff available to help and guide me through with dropping off my key. On my return flight collection of my keys and location of my car was perfect and in a disabled space which meant I didn't need to walk too far to get my car.
Will definitely use the car park again.”

“The gate didn’t open when we arrived, it wouldn’t issue a ticket when I pressed the button either. I pressed the intercom to speak with someone and he issues a ticket and opened the gate remotely, then on leaving it wouldn’t accept my ticket at the gate and told me I was due to pay £235, even though I had pre booked online in May and paid the correct amount for the time I had requested. Again I had to press the intercom button and get the gate opened remotely. Not a very smooth system”
“Parking is clearly laid out and secure.
However the registration plate recognition system seems to have faults, myself and my mother both paid in advance and were still asked to pay a further outstanding balance of 300 pounds. This is remedied quickly via the call button but added stress at the end of trip was not anticipated.”
