“Great parking near to terminal. Only thing that let us down was the ANPR didn’t recognise our car so we were left worrying would we get out without charge!”
“On exit we were charged £360 for one week even though I had prepaid £60. After pressing the buzzer fir assistance it was all sorted but we got quite a shock. On entry to the multi story car park we were unsure what level to park in at first but not a lot of available spaces anyway. Used the fast track security on level 2 as only had hand luggage. Quite convenient and would use again.”
“Parking space and finding the place was fine now issues. Ticket was issued on arrival which is took but I had prepaid. Only to be confronted when I tried ti leave that I was owe £130. I pressed the call button and it will as sorted out but it held up a queue behind me. Seems a little suspicious that even though I had pre booked and he had me on the system that this happened. Are you hoping that people are confused enough to pay twice? If not that then clearly there is an issue with your system and you are charging enough for the parking that it would cover the cost of whatever the problem is.”
“Email instructions were easy to follow. Spaces in the multi story were a good size.
My pre-paid booking reference didn’t work though and I had to seek help from the parking attendant to exit without needing to pay an additional £180 to exit. I was parked in the correct place, and was in the vehicle with the same registration that I had booked under. The car park attendant was really helpful in sorting the issue out.”
“All good except exit from multi storey. Big queue caused by ticket machine not verifying valid tickets and instead ‘demanding’ an exorbitant sum. After delay in attendant answering and having to give reg number it was resolved. Only two of three lanes open any way and seemed just one attendant. Call bell not clear either.”
“I've used Edinburgh Airport Parking a few times over the years and on several occasions, the automatic barriers have failed to recognise my licence plate and I have needed to call for assistance to let me out! If you can make this system more reliable, or remove the need for tickets altogether, I would be much more enthusiastic to recommend it.”
“Decent enough. Price is high for multi storey but manageable if booked in advance. Number plate reader often fails entering car park which results in a sometimes lengthy call with the people at the pay machines on exit. Wish they’d make that easier. Clean, tidy, safe and well lit though!”
“Would be good if the airport could sort out its automatic vehicle registration plate recognition so we don’t need to keep calling the operations person to get exit.”

But compared to other number plate recognition systems it’s pot luck if it works. Many times I’ve needed to use the intercom to let me out.”
