The pricing at the car park is quite ridiculous with no loyalty shown to frequent users. It appears that holiday makers pricing is much morr competitive than business users. One day costs about 80% of one weeks cost which is difficult to rationalise. They have an almost monopoly position and they expoit it mercilessly.

I flew back early last Friday night . I walked to my car and drove to the barrier . I put my prepaid ticket in the machine at the barrier and was told I owed £230.00 . I pushed the telecom button but nobody answered , so I had to get out my car and ask the people behind me to reverse . I then reversed my car and returned to the surface parking . I parked again and walked back to the multi-storey , around all the various obstacles which are currently in place . The parking attendant was less than interested . He offered no apology but accepted my booking code and grudgingly returned my validated ticket . The whole process took 20 minutes . What is the point in paying extra for such a poor service ?

The system could be a lot better. On arrival at the surface parking, it was utterly unclear where to park, and very hard to find any space at all. Despite our having "upgraded" to terminal surface from a lesser option, we were unsure how we benefited, and in fact I don't think we benefited at all. There were no signs and no-one to help. The prices are higher than Manchester for similar services, and it seems clear to us that Edinburgh Airport has a way to go before it is on the same level as Manchester, which is the airport we use most often. Sorry, but we weren't at all impressed.

Returned to car pack and tried to exit barrier ... only to be advised I was due £335! Had to reverse, call car park to then be told this was your error. You had the online booking but the barrier did not have info!

I paid for parking in advance, but ended up having to pay to get out of car park. The refund service was OK but it would have been better if I'd not had to call them.

The directions on how to enter the car park when using pre paid parking were poor. No clear direction at the car park re: the same. Expected barrier to open for me using vehicle recognition. Confused when didnt. To round it off I checked on the pay on the day rate and it was cheaper.

No complaints about the car park, easy to find, good value and close to the airport. We however had to wait 90minutes for our luggage to arrive due to inadequate baggage staffing, with next to no updates while we were waiting thus this put a downer on the overall experience.

Had to wait over 30 mins for the bus. Every other car park had sent 2 buses before one of ours arrived.

The car park was well sign posted near to the entrance of the airport . Parking location well numbered and easy to find on return. booking on line easy to do and not to pricey. on return however when we tried to leave airport, barrier would not open and asked us to pay £150.00. We had pre- booked and payed and were not over our time limit. This caused us a great panic and it took some time before we realised how to use intercom and get assistance. There was a little wait before staff agreed to let us out there was no apology or explanation as to why this had happend and as there was a car behind us we were almost resigned to pay this sum. which we hadn't budgeted for and would have left us with no money.

We recently booked into the car park whilst on honeymoon. Unfortunately on the way back we were stranded in JFK airport for 30 hours secondary to flight delays/ cancellations due to the extreme weather. This meant that we were 1 day late to pick up the car. My mother called the day before to inform we could not pick up the car for an additional day. This situation as you can imagine was extremely stressful, unfortunately not helped by the lack of understanding regarding the situation of your staff who proceeded to charge us £37.99 to keep the car until the following evening. This was more than 50% of the total charge for our 2 week airport stay. This situation was completely our of our hands and there was nothing I could do about it. I would have thought given the circumstances and the fact that it was only one day that this fee could have been waived but this did not appear to be the case according to your staff. I am thoroughly disappointed by this and as it stands would be highly unlikely to utilise your service again.

The car park it self was fine and the bus transfer was quick and with a friendly driver but from the bus drop off point to the departure area was a bit of a walk which would be a bit difficult for an elderly person hauling a suitcase. The bit that particularly annoyed me was on leaving the car park I inserted my ticket and the machine informed me that I had £215 to pay although I had pre-booked and prepaid and had not exceeded my time. On pressing the call button for assistance I explained the problem to the operator who gruffily asked for my booking reference. I quoted this to him and he replied "that's it now, the gate's open". No apology, no explanation as to why the ticket did not work in the first place. Very poor customer service in my opinion.

Everything went alright until I tried to leave the airport car park at 10 pm on the 28th December. Although previously booked and paid for, the ticket machine displayed that I had to pay £240.00. I eventually (after about 20 minutes) got hold of someone on the intercom. Luckily I had the receipt with me but it still took time and frustration to sort out this matter. I may add that the person to whom I spoke was pleasant enough and I was able to leave the car park. I hope that this will never happen again. In fact it should not have happened at all.

Very difficult trying to find a parking spot. Although it claims you can park close to the terminal building it will take you 20 minutes to drive round and hope that a parking space becomes available.

I have used the Long Stay parking twice in the past six months, each time for a long week end. Each timeI have prebooked my parking online. Getting into the Long Stay car park is easy but getting out is somewhat STRESSFUL. On the first occasion the exit barriers were not working properly, in that car number plates were not being recognised by the 'system' which resulted in cars having to back out of the exit route to try to sort out their individual problem. When I approached the barrier the screen told me that I had a charge to pay in excess of £100!!! , in spite of having prepaid online in full weeks previously. Eventually I was able to speak to the attendant via the barrier microphone who requested my reference number/ car number plate and the barrier was lifted without further payment. It was supposed to be a temporary Computer glitch. A few days ago I was in the Long Stay car park again, trying to exit at a quieter time. Again the barrier did not recognise my number plate and the screen told me I needed to pay £95 plus some pennies. Again I had booked and prepaid in full online. Again I spoke to the attendant via the barrier microphone . He asked for a revenge number...it was in my suitcase....he asked for my car registration number...I gave him the information....the barrier was lifted ...I went on my way...bemused!!! Why does the barrier machine keep asking for payment when it has already been made. Foreign tourists or people unfamiliar with the system and under pressure from a tailback of cars might just stick their credit card in the machine and pay up in order to get out of the place. Someone wants to make sure the technology works properly all the time for all the customers.

I pre-booked and paid to stay in the mid-stay car park for c£30+ for 3 days. There were no instructions on the confirmation email. When I returned after 3 days to collect my car and put my ticket in the machine it said i had to pay another £120! After 15mins I located a member of staff who let me out without paying any extra. What a shambles of a booking system!!!

Despite booking and paying for parking online, at the barrier we were told it would cost £180. The attendant asked for my reference number and eventually raised the barrier with no apology or explanation.

The signage getting to the car park was very poor, especially when dark. The "help" offered when returning to the car park by the 2 men in their little office was derisory! If this is the first impression that visitors get to this country then heaven help Scotland!
