“Parking was in the Multi Storey Car Park. It is very expensive at "120 per week however this does include fast track security which helps going out but is not available coming back.
We spent over two hours coming through security and getting bags coming back as it's now vwery slow at Edinburgh, and this option did not help speed this up. After a very long flight and wait to get bags the final insult was when I put my card into the barrier to exit and it would not let me out. It demanded £351 to exit!
I then had to argue with a guy on the other end of a remote helpline to let me out! I could have been stuck there all night. I was not going to pay them the additional Ā£351 requested! So I do not recommend.”
“We pre-booked the surface car parking which is close to the terminal and were very concerned when we arrived that there were no spaces to be found. It took us a good 20 minutes to eventually find a space and we were very lucky as we could see others have similar challenges. I think spaces are being over booked and would advise others to be very cautious about booking this car park during peak travel times.”
“Expensive multi-storey. Parking Spaces are too tight. I prepaid online, and when I returned to collect my car, the barrier requested payment of Ā£221. Thankfully the staff managed to sort it out. The best bit was the fast-track security. The walk from the car park to the fast track security entrance is a bit of a maze.”
“Hard to find the plane parking. As I was searching, I accidentally drove through the wrong parking and had to pay Ā£4 for it. Didnāt even stop there.
Moreover the APR at plane parking didnāt work and I had to pay again, although I already had payed in advance.
All in all £20 for nothing and £16 for parking.
Outrageous!”
“Everything great till tried to leave car park after the holiday
Inserted ticket and told I needed to pay £176 extra had to use use the help intercom and asked for car reg number before the Barrier lifted
Not impressed as well within Parking times both ways”
“I always think that terminal parking is the best but the last twice I have used it, my ticket never works on the barrier and I have to ring the buzzer and give further information! It stops other people leaving and our journey to continue! Why have instructions when they donāt work?”
“The parking was fine, it was the booking process that was the problem, due to the fact that you can't make a simple adjustment to the booking without having to amend it which means cancelling and re-booking which in turn cost an extra Ā£40 which was shocking, and you can't even speak to anyone one to one you have to leave a message for someone from a hub to e-mail you five days later and when you explain your dilemma they were totally unsympathetic,”
“The parking itself was super easy, the fast transfer was excellent. However came home to find the back of our car badly scratched, probably with another customer taking no care at all and trying to squeeze their cases through the gap behind our car.”
“Entrance not well signposted. Inserted ticket to leave and told I owed Ā£270! Sorted through the āassistance buzzerā but a nasty shock after a long wait for baggage.”
“Plane Parking entrance was blocked at 4:30 am with contractor vans - had to use other entrance and hope for the best hence no ticket to let me out when I came back”
“Due to a 3 hour delay of our bags coming off the flight, I was charged an additional Ā£15, having paid Ā£90 plus for the 2 week stay....not impressed”
“I have used service many times- all good! Yesterday when we arrived back at Edinburgh and put our ticket in to leave the car park it said we owed Ā£155! Got a bit of a shock so pressed the button to speak to someone. Said our number plate not picked up on their cameras and cleared the charge thank goodness! Parking easy, problem solved so all good.”
