Read the fine print peeps. The shuttle bus no longer runs from the long stay car park. Distance not too bad if it’s dry and if you are fit and able.

Hello I'm pleased to receive this opportunity to get in touch. As you can see my star rating could have been a little better. This rating is mainly due to the poor signage too and from the long stay car park and poor walkways. We had parked in the long stay car park for 4 weeks from the 13th of June to the 11th of July. We returned on the night flight from Athens on the 11th. When we reached the car park barrior, our exit was denied, l was surprised by this because on the previous experience the barrier has automatically lifted. So I entered my ticket and was presented with £600+ bill. my parking had run out!!. Obviously, there had been a misstake so I called and talked with one of your colleagues, he took my car reg BV07WKM and informed me that I had overstayed by 13 hours and to get the barrier lifted I needed to pay £40 extra. It was early morning I'd been travelling all day I needed to drive home to Newcastle so I paid it. There had been a mistake and I had made it!! I put in the wrong time when booking!!! I remember entering my flight details when making the booking. I thought that if my booking didn't correspond with the flight details then you would have flagged this up. You can guess what I'm going to ask for now and that is a refund as a kind gesture to somebody (me) that's not perfect. Kind regards Anthony Nelson anthonynelson6@aol.com

Parking was fine but on leaving we were charged an additional £12 to exit through the barrier which seemed strange as the amount due was calculated by yourselves after I gave flight details upfront. Our delay was due to 30 mins flight delay and having to wait 45mins on bags being returned. No fault of our own .

Convenient, easy and useful but the parking spaces need widened. Spaces are too narrow for today’s cars

Drop off all very straight forward and efficient. However, pick up a week later was terrible as our car was not ready as agreed. 2 hours later it arrived. Not what you want with two young children in the middle of the night. Especially as no where to sit and surrounded by lots of other unhappy customers in the same boat. Poor end to our holiday, and way more expensive than a taxi both ways - should’ve trusted them instead!

This was our first time using Edinburgh Airport long stay parking. There needs to be better explanation of where to go once you get there, for example, signage towards walkways to and from the terminal. A lot was guesswork - we arrived n early hours in the pouring rain so not conducive to having a look round! The parking confirmation says how to get there but not much else other than prepaid times - it also needs to include information on what to do with your ticket, ie - should you validate this at the pay station after, or just put in your ticket at the exit, as there was no information provided at all either online or in the car park. It isn’t a huge walk (10 mins from furthest spot) but if you have young kids, mobility issues or don’t want to get soaked in bad weather I would recommend you use a parking space with shuttle bus. Could be better.

What happened to the terminal bus? If you are elderly or disabled - don't park here! The shuttle bus that used to run from the parking to the terminal is not currently running. This means that you have a considerable hike to get to the terminal. It is easy to find your way to the terminal - you can see it on the horizon and you can use it as a navigational aid to get you there but - don't be elderly. Don't be disabled and above all don't be late! Certainly don't stand around waiting for the bus that will never come to come. It won't! Finally don't have a heart attack when you put in your barrier ticket to the machine when leaving expecting that an ANPR-enabled computer would recognise your prepaid booking and let you out, but instead says the amount owed £250! Just press the button and speak to the nice man. He is obviously busy but he will answer your call in 10 minutes and if you can find your reference number in the massive pile of other paperwork you had to print to go on holiday, he will let you out for the agreed tariff after a short negotiation.

Not enough information regards pick up bus stance on return flight. I travelled with my granddaughter. She finished up walking Tovar on return because we couldn’t find the shuttle bus stance. This meant that she paid a further £5 for airport parking fees.

Everything was very reasonable until I missed my connecting flight because of a British Airways mess. I then had to collect my car a day late, which resulted in a £25 additional day fee being charged. I’m baffled to comprehend why one extra day costs £25, as opposed to a pro rata fee being applied.

I found it really easy to book the airport parking. The place is easy to find and I went away with no issues at all. The last couple of times I’ve come back however, there has been some issues where the machine has accepted my ticket and then asked for future money. Always £40. Luckily, I have been able to wait until someone picks up the call bell, despite it being the early hours of the morning, and they are always very helpful. I have had to wait a long while for them to pick up. It is annoying that the booking system seems to be making these mistakes and I expect there are a number of people who do not have the time or knowledge to wait for someone to help them out

Signage poor when entering and exiting terminal car park

Fastpark was very good at drop-off, poor on collection. Several scrawled out location points for my car in poor handwriting on the collection tag. Car left with the drivers seat in the maximum position away from the wheel (pedals unreachable, no Idea what they'd been up to) and in gear with brake off. No staff available on collection (10pm).

This car park alone is fine, directions are good and easy to find. Do There are no or very little signs directing pedestrians to the safe walking route to the terminal. When exiting the car park, the screen told us we were overdue £176 even though we had pre paid for parking online. This was easily resolved though by pressing the assistance button on the machine, the gentleman confirmed our payment and let us out.

we use the midstay parking on most trip, this time we thought the price was very high, compared to previous parking, once again Edinburgh airport cashing in on customers , but offering third rate service

What Happened To the Bus to take you to the airport, i do not mind walking so iam okay with it. However i was thinking about booking the long stay for a week whilst i was on holiday in sepember however i have elderly parents and they would struggle to walk to the airportso will need to reconsider my parking options for that week

Quick to park, very short walk to airport departures.........was not happy to find that my handbrake wasn't on, automatic car that clearly states on screen when stop button pushed that the car is at risk of rolling unless handbrake button is on

Fine apart from me being asked to pay £120 when I tried to leave. I booked this months ago for £44. Reg plate not recognised when I entered apparently
