Was a bit difficult finding a space and when I eventually found one it was a bit tight, hard to get out of the car once parked. Although sited next to the terminal building was very good.

Hi, would you give instructions for customers who have prepaid? I ordered in advance but my ticket said to pay at the machine and I spent ages trying to work out if I should put the ticket in the payment machine and perhaps lose it or should go to the gate but I didn't want to cause a blockage and hold anyone up. I couldn't find anything on the email either. Is there info somewhere? It just would have been great not to have spent 10 mins worrying about getting out.

Good Morning, Thank you for your review. When you have pre booked car parking online, when you enter the car park our ANPR system should read your registration plate and print this on the ticket you are given upon entering, this should link to your online booking. Both car registration and online booking reference should be printed on the ticket. However, if this does not happen if you press the intercom upon exiting someone from the car parking team will be able to help you. Kind regards, Customer Support Team

The actual parking was fine. However we needed to change the collection time, called the number given to us, and just endless options that lead no where. What's the point of issuing a phone number that no one answers??

Booking the parking was the easy part, trying to find a parking space was an absolute nightmare. I reckon I drove around the parking lot for 15 mins to eventually find a space. I think you need to track and limit the booking taken for this type of parking. Not good at all.

Very surprised to learn that we had to pay an extra £15 as our flight from Malaga was over 3 hours late which was not our fault and completely out of our vontrol

Hi David, All of our bookings come with an additional 2-hour grace period to allow flexibility with arrival and exit times. If you exit out with the grace period, you will be subject to our roll-up rates as the time you have occupied was not pre-booked. I understand the frustration that will have been caused by the delay and I’m sorry to hear that your delay resulted in an additional charge at the car park barrier. UK only customs passport line on return woudl be good. Fast track on return would also work well.

Too busy / Cars parking on double lines and not bothered about we’re they parked I couldn’t have been any further away from the entrance Raining also so not nice sitting wet in the terminal

Hi Brian, We have seen an increase in our car park use recently and unfortunately some drivers are choosing to park on double yellow lines instead of occupying a space a little further back. I understand how uncomfortable it will have been once you reached the airport however, all of our car parks are marketed as facilities that do not have a shuttle bus. I recommend keeping an umbrella in the car for next time, especially with the unpredictable Scottish weather! Thanks, Customer Support Team

Hi Derek, We're delighted to see our car parks busy again however, this does mean that it can take a few minutes to find a space which we know isn't ideal because everyone (understandably) wants to drive straight in and park. Our pricing is dynamic and continually changes based on many different factors such as demand, occupancy and lead time making it possible for the pricing to change from booking to booking however, we offer competitive pricing against other providers. Didn’t get an actual space after hunting around for 15 min, so parked on end of bays Place looked very congested with lots of abandoned cars clogging up parts of the car park (guilty of it myself) Easy to locate however and a five minute direct walk to departures

Third time I have been asked to pay a ridiculous amount when reaching the gate and had to ask for assistance as I had already pre-booked and prepaid for the parking.

Hi David, I'm sorry to hear that this has been a repeat issue for you. It sounds as though our automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system hasn't registered you upon entry each time. When this occurs, it means our system doesn't match you to your booking and you are then charged the roll-up rate in error upon exit. Despite paying for online parking there are NO clear signs of what car park you need to use. I ended up paying £200 out my pocket because I parked in what I though was the right car park only to be advised that I was in the wrong one. Colour coding might be far better for those not use to the parking there.

I booked and then cancelled and rebooked as I had not calculated my arrival time correctly. When I arrived at Plane Side I was redirected to Long Stay. The machine did not recognise me on entry so I had to use the intercom to clarify that I had made a booking. On my return, I had the same sort of experience with a delay in exit while my booking was found. The walking route to the terminals was not very well labelled at all which was bad . However in the big plus side the saving in cost was very very good . I also booked for Fast Track but this was not operating at the time I went to security so I will be claiming a refund

When we arrived back at our car at 2:40am on 29/4, our car was cordon off, along with some others, with a series of parking cones. They were easily moved but why were the cones there in the first place. Other than that parking was fine.

Parking was very convenient. Unfortunately let down by a rubbish ticket system that doesn’t link your booking (online) to the manual issued ticket and ticket machine for easy exit. Unfortunately we had to call for help at barriers as ticket did not work automatically. There’s no QR code or scanner to make booking link to barrier much better for convenience .

Like many airports who dispensed with staff during the pandemic, Edinburgh Airport now has reduced service provision. No buses between Long Stay car park and Terminal any more(policy decision), and presumably to encourage the elderly, infirm and those with mobility issues to pay much more for the closer, more expensive parking. Long Stay Car park was insufficiently lit, cars were parked over junctions etc as though it was a free-for-all. On plus side: Fairly swift through security and baggage reclaim on flight back to Edinburgh was very quick. In summary, a mixed picture but it used to be so much better.

Hi John, Thank you for your review. Our long stay shuttle bus was suspended in 2020. The car park is an approximate 6–8-minute walk to the terminal and we find it to be a manageable distance for most customers. Those who find the distance unmanageable can contact us directly to discuss how we can support them.
