“Didn’t get an actual space after hunting around for 15 min, so parked on end of bays
Place looked very congested with lots of abandoned cars clogging up parts of the car park (guilty of it myself)
Easy to locate however and a five minute direct walk to departures”
Hi Rob,
Thanks for your review.
I’m sorry to hear that you found it difficult to find a space in our car park. If ever faced with the same problem in future, please ring the intercom at the exit barrier and our team will provide a suitable alternative.
Thanks,
Customer Support Team
“Third time I have been asked to pay a ridiculous amount when reaching the gate and had to ask for assistance as I had already pre-booked and prepaid for the parking.”
Hi David,
I'm sorry to hear that this has been a repeat issue for you.
It sounds as though our automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system hasn't registered you upon entry each time. When this occurs, it means our system doesn't match you to your booking and you are then charged the roll-up rate in error upon exit.
I understand the frustration that it causes but I'm glad you've been able to get it sorted at the barrier each time.
Thanks,
Customer Support Team
“Despite paying for online parking there are NO clear signs of what car park you need to use.
I ended up paying £200 out my pocket because I parked in what I though was the right car park only to be advised that I was in the wrong one.
Colour coding might be far better for those not use to the parking there.”
Hi Gordon,
Thanks or your review.
Our car parks are signposted by wayfinding, located in key traffic areas. I’m sorry to hear that you found our wayfinding to be unhelpful. All of our bookings come with instructions on where to park and there are clear signs prior to entry detailing to corresponding car park name.
Thanks,
Customer Support Team
“I booked and then cancelled and rebooked as I had not calculated my arrival time correctly. When I arrived at Plane Side I was redirected to Long Stay. The machine did not recognise me on entry so I had to use the intercom to clarify that I had made a booking. On my return, I had the same sort of experience with a delay in exit while my booking was found.
The walking route to the terminals was not very well labelled at all which was bad . However in the big plus side the saving in cost was very very good . I also booked for Fast Track but this was not operating at the time I went to security so I will be claiming a refund”
Hi David,

This doesn't happen often but when it does, I understand the frustration that it causes. I'm glad you managed to get it sorted at the time.
I'm sorry to hear that fastTRACK was closed upon your arrival. If you haven't already, please reach out and we will look into this for you:

“When we arrived back at our car at 2:40am on 29/4, our car was cordon off, along with some others, with a series of parking cones. They were easily moved but why were the cones there in the first place. Other than that parking was fine.”
“Parking was very convenient. Unfortunately let down by a rubbish ticket system that doesn’t link your booking (online) to the manual issued ticket and ticket machine for easy exit. Unfortunately we had to call for help at barriers as ticket did not work automatically. There’s no QR code or scanner to make booking link to barrier much better for convenience .”
“Like many airports who dispensed with staff during the pandemic, Edinburgh Airport now has reduced service provision. No buses between Long Stay car park and Terminal any more(policy decision), and presumably to encourage the elderly, infirm and those with mobility issues to pay much more for the closer, more expensive parking. Long Stay Car park was insufficiently lit, cars were parked over junctions etc as though it was a free-for-all. On plus side: Fairly swift through security and baggage reclaim on flight back to Edinburgh was very quick. In summary, a mixed picture but it used to be so much better.”
Hi John,
Thank you for your review.
Our long stay shuttle bus was suspended in 2020. The car park is an approximate 6–8-minute walk to the terminal and we find it to be a manageable distance for most customers. Those who find the distance unmanageable can contact us directly to discuss how we can support them.
The long stay car park is marketed as a facility that does not have a shuttle bus and this is confirmed on our website and booking confirmations.
Kind regards,
Customer Support Team
“It was not clear to me the difference between Terminal Parking, Multistory parking or FastPark and I ended up in the wrong carpark. Very helpfully resolved by the onsite staff. In the ground floor of the multistory. The most convenient option I would suggest is the multistory as it provides link bridge access into the terminal. Especially if linked with FastTrack Security...”
“Nice and close but could be a better experience. Bays are quite narrow and it was hard to find an empty one so glad we weren't in a rush. The shuttle bus is not running at the moment (no explanation why) so you have a 10-15 minute walk to the terminal on quite rough surfaces, difficult with luggage. Signs back to the car park from the terminal were difficult to spot so we went the wrong way at first.”
Thank you for your review.
We are currently experiencing high surges in demand for car parking and I’m sorry to hear that you found it difficult to find a space in our car park. If ever faced with the same problem in future, please ring the intercom at the exit barrier and our team will provide a suitable alternative.

“Compared with Glasgow, Edinburgh airport parking is more expensive, and not well regulated, we found cars parked on kerbs and double yellow lines on our return.”
“It would be really, really useful to have a detailed 'what you need to do now' section in the confirmation email to describe that all you need to to is arrive, collect ticket, and then insert ticket within the purchased time window. I had to guess, which was disconcerting. Also, it's very unclear from the parking how to walk to the airport, unless you've been before.”
“the price for 3 days is extortionate . Car park not full even with a so called fast trac taking nearly 50% of the parking spaces available and absolutely empty, i dont know when it is meant to open! Does that not tell you something !The public need a place like this but it is getting to the point where they will use public transport somehow instead of parking. And Business can only take it so far. This car park suits me as my wife cannot walk far, however cost will come into the equation next time. I was parked near the entry gate and left her down at the bottom with cases and went down to pick her up.”
“After booking I had to change the reg plate of the car I was parking. All seemed to be accepted on the website. Needless to say, when I arrived at the exit barrier it didn't recognise the car I was in. Fortunately, the chap on the intercom was really very helpful and polite, and it got sorted out fairly quickly. Get your IT systems sorted out.”
“Good distance from airport which was great. But had to hunt for a space which was nerve wracking when you’re heading for a flight. Also think the prices could be a bit lower.”
“The parking instructions are not clear. Nothing about how the prepaid parking works and no staff to talk with in the car parking areas.
Also the car park was very full and you have to drive around trying to find a space, some people had parked halfway in to the road area half way up on the curbs.”
Hi Tobias,
Thanks for your feedback on our parking instructions, I will feed this back to the relevant teams.
Though there may not be staff roaming the car parks, our team is contactable 24/7 via the entry and exit barrier intercoms.
Thanks,
Customer Support Team
“Having pre booked parking I spent over 20 minutes circling the car park with many others trying to find a parking space. Cars were parked on kerb areas and on yellow lined areas. Whilst I was circling a full car park others were continuing to enter also looking for a space Not the relaxed start to my holiday that I had expected. That said my car was fine when I returned.”
