Pre-booking enables you to get a better deal than PAYG, but .... .... it's disconcerting to turn up at 4:15 am and find a sign across one of the two lanes saying the pre-booked car park is full, when clearly it isn't. Fortunately there are two entry lanes and the other one allowed me in and to park. I fear EAP may be overselling, resulting in there being too many vehicles chasing too few spaces. It's certainly much harder to find your pre-booked space if arriving, say, at 11am.

Sign postings to different car parks could be better, I ended up in drop off and had to pay to get back out

Parking at Edinburgh Airport didn't particularly make me happy at all. A good airport is one which remembers its main purpose is to enable passengers to get on an aeroplane to fly somewhere and everything should be aimed at that end. Sadly, Edinburgh Airport's main aim seems to be to extract as much money as possible from flyers by whatever means. Trying to make them buy something in a shop that they hadn't really intended is just one, but manipulating parking charges is another. I booked several weeks in advance of my flight. The charge seemed high compared with previous occasions but I was prepared to pay it as on this occasion I needed to be nearer the terminal for one of my passengers. So I was very annoyed to find the price had gone down by £10 just six days after I booked. When I went on line to try and change it I found there was a £10 charge to make a change. How cynical. I believe, should a charge go down after a passenger has booked that particular tariff, they should automatically be given a refund corresponding to the amount the charge has reduced. However, even better would be fixed published rates that don't change from day to day, but if you insist on doing this then there should be a clear statement that parking charges will not go down as the date of travel gets closer. That encourages passengers to book early to get the best rate and you get their money on deposit from which you can gain interest.

From the motorway exit to the 'entrance' to airport parking was not easy. There was heavy foliage from trees on A8 and I ended up turning onto wrong road, this would have been okay if there was signage/notices to direct cars/visitors. I went into what I thought was the surface car park and the staff on duty were reluctant to help, however there was one chap who did help and I found my way to the correct area. It was frustrating to say the least and certainly tainted my visit. I believe it would be helpful to non Edinburgh visitors for there to be more clearer directions and that the trees - to whomever they belong - are cut back to allow drivers to read directions. Other than that I certainly have no complaint and enjoy the fact that you can park on the surface at the main airport entrance.

Reasonable price, and pre-booking saves time with payment on departure

Ability to walk from long stay to the terminal is a major improvement over having to wait for the bus However there are frequently insufficient parking spaces in long stay. That is because of the decision to "create" a mid stay parking lot that a premium is charged for. Given this is just the same parking lot delineated by a fence its wholly unjustifiable. This is particularly the case when you consider that demand for long stay far exceeds demand for mid stay as evidenced by an overflowing long stay car park accompanied by multiple empty bays in mid stay. Gouging the consumer!

Finally changing to dropping off outside the terminal instead of at the coach park is a major improvement - much less hassle. Now if you could only use one of the central bus stops! It's unfortunate that you seem to have stopped doing some of the good value off-season deals you did last year.

Parking is good location and not far to walk, but very expensive. Then when you get in the terminal it gets worse, security is so badly run it's ridiculous. Takes far too long to get through and never enough staff on or lanes open

Parking has always been good however you number plate recognition rarely works resulting in machine asking for large payments and delays leaving the car park. on my last visit I pressed the button on entry when the machine didn't not automatically produce a ticket (as per instructions) told just to press button and get a ticket. When I was leaving machine asks for £350, some delay waiting to get an answer and give reference to get released. Not ideal at 1am with kids, I pre book to simplify things!!!!

Walkway from carpark to express security is great and saves me time when flying in the morning.

The car was safe and still there when I returned. However it is wildly expensive to rent a car parking space in a field. So much so that I will use |Glasgow when I can.

Easy to find and locate a parking space. Disappointed that there was traffic congestion between car park and airport. It took about 20 mins (normally this would take 5 mins). The bus driver wouldn't let us off the bus to walk....rules and regulations take precedent over common sense. I appreciate he can't control the traffic but not letting passengers off to walk is nonsense.

Easy to find buses and frequent transfers to terminal. But not enough spaces at all, were driving for a very long time before we found a suitable space which was a hassle.

Parking on arrival was easy but leaving the car park area on our return was very difficult and took an unacceptable length of time.

I have tried to get an e-mailed receipt continually but still no e-mail. The process seems to be broken.

I used the terminal surface car park for a weekend away, it cost considerably more than getting a taxi there and back but on this occasion it was more convenient to have the car there when I got back. I think the parking is over-priced but there were very few spaces so I guess on a supply & demand basis they must have got it about right!
