“Easy enough to book on-line and find a parking space for terminal surface. Very clear instructions and information received when booking.
But
It took 45 minutes to leave the car park on our return. Not sure if it was down to volume of traffic or people forgetting to pay their tickets before the exit barriers. No Edinburgh airport staff directing traffic or giving information, only person we saw was a member of staff from the taxi rank directing traffic but giving priority to taxis. Not what you wanted when you had a 3 hour car journey ahead with 2 young children”
“The process of booking and car park entry/exit work well. The park was busy when we parked and we were directed to a zone well away from the terminal - well over 2 minute walk. We then walked past empty spaces much closer to the terminal.”
“Parking was easy but I wouldn't book the long stay again, at time of booking there was nothing clearly showing where you would park on the website after booking found that it was further away than the initial map showed. Emailed the airport 3 times to complain about this and got no reply. Dropping the car off the bus came quickly but on return it took 20 plus minutes for it to arrive on a Monday afternoon. Next time I will park in one of the other airport car parks.”
“Access from the A8 into the airport is not good - single file traffic in and out with all traffic meeting at the one roundabout just in front of the airport, causing lengthy queues of traffic.
Parking in the Long Stay car park works well - it is always our parking choice.”
“it is far too expensive,we parked for nine nights and were charged over eighty pounds,that is too much for us as we live over 160 miles away in england so on top of return fuel its a lot for an out of the way airport,we can park at newcastle for less than fourty pounds a week ,so sorry but it"s the last time we use you.”
“Able to park close to terminal very convenient.
BUT on departure put in ticket and despite paying in advance were told y machine we owed 280£ luckily fairly quick response from helper to correct. Still wondering what we did wrong no instructions on info.”
“Service superb but exiting in my opinion is dangerous, having to cut across other lanes to exit airport, poorly signed in both parking area and exit. This is ok during quiet times but a nightmare when busy.”
“I pre booked the parking online for £52. Turned up and the barrier didn't open. So got a ticket. Returned from holiday to be told I had to pay £210. I managed to contact to someone who sorted it out but they struggled to find my booking. Apparently this has happened before to a few people I know. However my car was in good condition and parking was really easy. I probably would use again if I could rely on the booking system.”
“It was easy to reach terminal. Paid extra £10 compared to parking with transfer to terminal and was worth it to not have to hang around and get on bus. Only downside was that spaces were bit small”
“We got lost on arrival and had to ask for directions then struggled finding a parking space on the way back we waited 10 mins for a bus but the rest was easy just out the card in the barrier and left”
