“Please be careful, all barriers let you enter so if you go through the wrong one unknowingly you will be charged a obscene amount of money £155 for 4 days!”
“TERRIBLE SERVICE! Prepayed and parked in long stay carpark. Found a space at the far end. The is no safe foot path to exit the carpark. On return the carpark was flooded in places. It was a very unpleasant walk from airport to car. Poorly lit and no footpath. Very wet feet plodding though deep puddles. Interred ticket at barrier when leaving only for the ticket machine to display we owed £176. As I said we payed in advance. Pressed button to contact staff. It was not working. Reversed car outtotry another gate. This time we where eventually able to contact a staff member who explained he could barely hear me as rainwater was in his radio. Managed to explain our problem and he remotely opened the gate without a word or explanation. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE SERVICE!”
“I could not get past the barrier in the evening, it was asking me to pay £150 even though I prebooked it. When I called for assistance I did not receive a response for at least 5 minutes”
“I'm a weekly visitor to the car park and for the past 5 trips the meter has attempted to overcharge me. I always pre book and the machine has started to not pick up my plate, its getting frustrating”
“Never book through the Edinburgh airport app as it’s appalling. Impossible to sort any issues as you can’t speak to someone and the web chat function is useless.”
“When I returned & tried to exit I was advised I owed £225 parking fees despite having prepaid. I was in a hurry & last thing I needed was the rigmarole of having to press the button & converse with whoever answered it.”
“Firstly the automatic number plate recognition doesn't work. Secondly the car park has clearly been over booked. There were cars abandoned all over the place and seemed very congested. Luckily I managed to find a space but wouldn't be pleased if I didn't.”
“Terrible service paid for parking, when I arrived, I was told the car park I paid for was full, so they directed me to another car park around 20 minute walk from the airport.
If I wanted that lengthy walk, I’d have selected it and saved money.
When arriving back due to chaotic system we struggled to find the car. When I asked for some help, I was told “you’re stupid for not making notes of where the car is parked” with over 17 hours flights, and all the waiting in between, no compassion was shown for two people very fatigued in the pouring rain. The rude gentleman, walked away and made a sarcastic comment!”
“The system did not work well. The directions to find the way to and from the airport to the car park were very poor. Exiting the car park did not work with the ticket and I had to pay the penalty rate to get out of the car park. I have complained and asked to have this refunded, but, can only do this by email and in the automated reply I am told this may take 8 days.”
“Never had this problem before, however, i booked / paid online… when leaving the car park at the barrier, i was requested to pay £115?!? Which i had already paid my stay online (think £40 ish) pressed for assistance a couple times at the barrier spoke with nobody and then the barrier raised and i left… bizzare, can you check I wasn’t double charged?”
“For the second time in a row parking at Edinburgh Airport has been an expensive disaster!! This time the exit cameras could not read my number plate and I had to return to the office in the pouring rain to exit the car park. This service is an expensive joke and a great misuse of a monopoly parking service. There was no response to me asking for a refund for overcharging last month and Ibet there is no response to this review. You deserve no stars”
“Despite having pre-paid, the exit barrier rejected the ticket and informed that the sum of £165 was outstanding.
Eventually, and I mean eventually, someone answered and the barrier was raised. This is not the first time I have experienced this.”
“Scanner never read my registration correctly. Picked up a completely different number and was charged £200 to exit car park. Still chasing refund and have been told it may take 8 days. £200 is a lot of money to be without! Horrible experience and has ruined the memory of a good holiday.”
“When I arrived after midnight I was asked for £340.00 at the barrier. I rang the buzzer and was let out. If no one was working then I would not have been let out unless I stumped up 340.”
“Extremely disappointed that I paid to stay on the terminal parking area for £39, only to get to the barrier to be asked for an additional £140. I’ve sent all supporting documentation to the appropriate email, but still haven’t had a response.”
“everytime you check out though you have pre paid when you get to barrier they try to charge you at least 5 times the price quoted !!!
then you get some half asleep muppet when you press the intercom that talks to you like dirt!after a long flight not worth happened three times now”
