“We booked parking before attending to park for our holiday this month. When leaving the parking area again we were faced with £155 parking charge for absolutely no reason. Had to pay this to be able to get out of the car park but was a great shock and really ruined the ending of a good holiday”

Used this car park twice in last four days, pre-paid for 6hours .
Joined chaotic queue to exit and card machine again wanted an extra £120.00???
Previously only wanted an extra £16.00 and after eventually finding comms button in the dark had to argue my case to allow barrier to be opened. Same again this time, also nearly midnight but knew where to find comms button and with twenty cars behind me only took another 5 minutes for operator to relaease me. Every other exit machine had same problem and same queues. This is not a one-off, its a sustained and deliberate attempt to pressurise weary travellers into paying unnecessary, additional amounts. For this unfit system to be in operation for any period of time shows Edinburgh Airports to be either very stupid or a bunch of cowboys. You decide.”
“When you pay in advance and are required to pay £90 to get out. When your ticket gets rejected onto the wet road. When you are exhausted after a delayed flight. This is awful service. I”

“I pre booked a stay at the mid stay car park for 2 days and paid online prior to arrival. On returning to my car I was asked to pay £90 additional before I could leave the car park. I tried to call the intercom and no one answered. I was in a rush to leave as I had an 5 hour drive ahead of me, and had no time to find someone to help. “The long term car park has been operating without a bus shuttle service for some time. If you have bags, it's a long bumpy walk, and miserable in the rain.
Be prepared for an embarrassing wait at the exit barrier. There is an issue where you are presented with an excess payment bill, even though you have pre-booked and are within the booking time. There was a vehicle at every barrier having the same problem. I had this same problem a few weeks earlier, so whatever the issue is, they haven't fixed it.”

My ticket was refused and a bill of £165 was indicated, i could not contact the operator initially
Having a que of irate people behind me I finally managed to reverse back to a space.. then re approached a different machine.. the £165 was again requested I managed to speak with an operator who finally agreed that I had indeed paid, he finally lifted the barrier, no apologies
Just a waste of time 25 minutes
I will definitely avoid this car park where possible

“This is the 4th time we have parked at the long stay this year. Each time we have been unable to exit the car park without having to call for assistance which takes time and is very frustrating at midnight. The reg number recognition works on the way into the car park and gives a ticket with the reg no. on it but a nightmare on the way out!”

I received an email informing me that I had been upgraded to Terminal Parking at no extra cost.
When I inserted my ticket to exit the car park the ticket machine wanted a payment of £165. It took
about 5 minutes to get the issue resolved.”
