“Arriving from Vienna at midnight. I (along with others) couldn’t exit the car park. I put my pre-paid ticket into the barrier and was asked for £460.
Tried the buzzer. Nothing. Sat stuck for 15 minutes Eventually got out of my car and walked to the entrance intercom, where fortunately someone answered and let me exit. If that was a single woman or elderly person then you have to rethink the experience”
“I prebooked and paid £34.99 for parking arriving at 5am on Tuesday 22nd Nov returning by no later than 9pm Wednesday 23rd.
As per booking, I arrived at 5.21am and left the car park at 19.16pm. When leaving the car park the ticket returned a fee of £110.00. I tried in vain to press the call for help button but no reply, due to the queue behind me I decided to pay and now want to claim a refund. I have double checked location I parked which was as per guidance provided.
Since wednesday I have emailed for a refund and sent a message on the website but no reply.........so much for automation!!!!!!!!”
“I was overcharged by £130 - more than three times what I had paid in the first place for a stay of under two days - and as of yet nobody has replied to my messages about how to get this refunded.”
“As usual problems leaving the multi story car park with the pre paid ticket not being recognised. This time every single car was affected with the result a long queue built up. This problem is getting worse and needs to sorted out.”
“My stay was absolutely disgusting I will never book the multi story carpark again it's a total rip off its robbery I paid £69.99 for 7 days during my holiday I had a problem and couldnt get back for another 2 days after my 7 days were up I had to book another 2 days and was charged £59.99 so for 9 days I had to pay £129.98 totally disgusting your company should be ashamed of themselves if a normal trader charged these prices they would be exposed disgusted with edinburgh airport”
“After paying for a 5 days stay we were charged £165 to leave the carpark and are still waiting for a Resolution of this absolute farce avoid if possible”
“Hi, I have sent you an email with a complaint regarding my stay.
I was booked from 5:30am on the 18th November to 10:30pm on the 21st November. (order ID is 14H6DFOQF).
I entered my ticket at 10:27pm on 21st November and was charged an extra £155.00 or the barrier would not open. So I had to pay or I would not be able to leave, luckily I had the money on a card as I had to get home for work in the morning. In my email I asked for a refund, can you make this happen please.”
“My prepayment was ineffective as when I was leaving the barrier would not lift as it said owed £225. My passenger thought I had not paid and was not happy at all. I had to call the operator for the right to exit.”
“For the second time using this service the cameras did not note our pre booking and tried to charge us abs everyone else infront of us. Spend the best part of half an hour trying to get out the parking after a very long day.”
“Stressful unorganised parking option. Extremely disappointed customer. I arrived to a barrier & pricing sign & was provided a ticket. This was not what I expected because I’d pre-paid, so the stress started there. I parked. As I walked towards the terminal a sign read something like ‘remember your ticket payment due before you leave.’ This made me think I was in the wrong carpark & I felt panic setting in. I had a flight ti catch. I had prepaid & followed all the instructions including the directions but would definitely not be able to afford the parking fees id seen on the sign at the entry barrier. I want back to my car to check everything again & could not see anywhere where I’d gone wrong. There is no phone number to call to check- just email which is no help. I had to either drive out or leave my car & go to catch my flight. The map said I was in the right place so I left the car where it was. By that time I had spent half an hour worrying & checking.
On my return i was of course worried again. I drove to the exit barrier & expected it to raise (as per the booking email). It didn’t lift. I put the ticket in despite the instructions advising the barrier would lift after reading the car reg. The screen said I owed £155. I pressed the call for assistance button. And waited about 5 minutes with cars behind me. It was midnight by now. I had to explain to the person who answered who questioned my name, registration then said “no problem” & raised the barrier. What a nightmare. I want a full refund. This is by far the most stressful parking experience I have ever had from start to end.”
“Pre-booked 2 nights stay. When I went to leave, barrier does not automatically open. System charged me £95, thankfully someone answered the com button and checked my details and let me out. Seemed to be happening for every car. It feels like a scam.”
“Frustrating trying to exit airport with queues at the ticket barrier and then faced with £140 excess charge at the machine. I thought it was my fault but on getting home checked the booking. Obviously something gone very wrong with the system and some very distressed and irate customers as a result.”
