“It transpired on my return I had made a mistake on the booking and instead of stating my return time as being 10.30 pm I had stated 10.30am. On leaving I was charged just over £51 for what was in effect an extra 12 hours of parking. My mistake, which I fully accept and likewise I accept I was due to pay more but £51 is extortionate! The attitude of the lady I spoke to left a lot to be desired. She was unhelpful and downright rude. She told me these were charges and she ended the intercom conversation. Thereafter my attempt to call back via the intercom were ignored.”
“For the second time in succession I have been asked to pay a fee upon leaving the car park despite having pre booked and pre paid. Pressed the call button to speak to someone who asked me for my reference number and then told me I could. No apology for the inconvenience on either occasion.”
“after a delayed flyght all i wanted was to get home getting bus to car park very good. got to barier and was told i was to pay £150 (i pre paid fee) told to press button for help in darknes could not see any button eventuly found button was asked three times to give my reg because could not under stand me am "english"after 30 min eventuly let free”
“All was fine until I tried to leave the car park. A booking / website error had meant that the booking was until 07:00 in the morning instead of 21:00 at night so I had to pay an extra £47 for parking on top of the £51 I'd already paid.

“Charged twice for same parking - paid in advance (6 weeks before) and barrier would not lift until paid again on departure - very poor. No doubt will be a struggle to get reimbursed.”
“Having booked online on the 2nd October 2017, only to find on the day of arrival at the surface car park that after twenty minutes of going around looking for a space, we had to just thake achance and parked in the pick up point in the multi story, getting near to the point of missing our flight, bearing in mind we still had to check in our luggage. It turned out to be a nightmare. The staff at the pick up point were understanding and assured us that the car should still be there when we returned.. This was the case. A futher point my flight was delayed in Rhodes and we were three hours late, the ticket eas looking for an extra £13.50 due to being over the 17.30 arrival time i stated in my booking. After paying £72-99 for 11 days, I was not at all happy. trhe attendant did waver the excess. not a good experience, luck for the pick up point. Patrick Boland”
“Although the service itself was reasonably straightforward, the parking spaces are extremely narrow. Because it is in an airport, getting luggage and people in and out of cars is extremely tricky, and much harder than it should be. In addition, it is almost inevitable that you have to scrape past other vehicles to get in and out of your own. This seems extremely miserly.”
“We booked terminal parking, but when arrived there were signs saying it was "full" and we were directed to a section further away. Once parked, I carried our two infants, and baggage to the terminal (my wife is pregnant) only to see there were lots of spaces in the row next to the terminal. Very unhappy.... We landed late evening, and again I carried two sleeping infants almost to the mid-stay car park to reach our car, when we could have parked next to the terminal.”
“On return we had to wait for nearly an hour at the stance for the bus to arrive. It appeared that only one bus was operating on the Sunday and at least 3 flights landed at the same time as us therefore we were unable to board the first bus and had to wait until it had done a complete round trip. This was an unacceptable wait especially with 2 young children. We regularly use long stay parking at Glasgow airport and are used to at most a 10 minute wait, therefore we were really disappointed and won’t be using long stay at Edinburgh again.”
“Signs into the car parks are poor and confusing. Online instructions as to were to park are misleading and resulted in us parking in an incorrect area. I have used Edinburgh airport parking on several occasions now and everytime there is a problem getting out of the car park, not what you want after a tiring flight.”
“Paid a fortune for terminal surface parking, struggled to find a space, only after driving around 3 times did we find someone leaving. Space was as far from the terminal as you could possibly get in this parking area. We were not the only ones struggling to find a space. How about a new strap line "Edinburgh Airport, making travellers experiences worse for the last 20 years."”
“First time used this car park . On leaving we entered our ticket But machine came up we owed £420 . So we had to ask for help ,we were then asked for reference number just as well it was with the rest of our paper work in a bag in the boot . After giving the reference number we were then ableto get out. Not great for a first experience”
“Rushed to get bus but driver pulled away & gestured for me to go to next pick-up point! This wiuld nit happen with Premierair - clearly their drivers are trained to look out for & respect custoners.”
