“Paid £42 online for one day's parking. Ticket machine didn't accept. Spoke to helpful attendant who allowed to leave the car park though was advised by the machine that the cost was £30. Why did I pay an extra £12 to book online. I didn't have an option to book one day's parking without Fast track. No explanation as to how Fast Track works.”
“when i returned to my car it had been badly damaged. car has been scraped & scratched from front bumper to rear wing. called to complain and was told i had to do it in writing!! In 2017 that should not be necessary. Made a complain via the feedback form on the website so now waiting for a response. You boast of CCTV keeping cars safe so I hope that cctv will be used to track the idiot that dragged their luggage, handbag, jewellery or backside along the side of my car and didnt have the decency to confess to it”
“After waiting 20 minutes at stance A at 12:30 am the bus could barely hold all the passengers and luggage plus 2 prams with babies. It was very cramped and difficult to get luggage and get off bus at correct stop. We felt like being in a cattle truck. No help from driver other than telling us to move along to make room. Long term car park itself was fine but transport could definitely be improved. Worth paying another £25 to park in multi-storey park next to airport.”
“The costs to parkin the airport car parks are nothing short of scandalous. I frequently park there for business trips and collect colleagues - I was charge more than £13 for a short period. Ridiculous!”
“Sent a customer query and never received a reply or even an acknowledgement. Also, no loyalty element for someone who parks at airport for 30+ times per year.”
“Due to the high volume of parking spaces occupied the only available parking spaces for us was a fair distance from our nearest bus stop. Not ideal when we had heavy luggage and no trolleys available. On our return the bus driver could have offered more assistance by advising plane parking customers where to alight, rather than stopping at the last stop and saying that's as far as I go. This resulted in us walking from the long stay car park to the plane parking car park with our luggage.”
“having automati licence plate readers but still making you take a ticket and then have to put the ticket in again before entering MS and then when you leave is not efficient, then on exit you filter into a very busy traffic lane, would have been better booking off site parking.”
“The whole parking system is confusing and doesn't work. Driving around for 45 minutes trying to find a vacant space was so stressful as the minutes to my check in counted down. Lack of proper organisation, instructions were very poor and road signs - especially road signs - makes the whole experience shockingly complicated in today's modern world.”
“Everything about the whole experience is excellent, with one exception: the price. In recent weeks I have used the short stay and the mid stay carparks and both have been exorbitant, more than the cost of the flight itself. I think you charge levels are grossly unfair and unreasonable when you have a total monopoly on the market. About 50% of the current rates would be correct”
“Your short term parking charge is very high for 1.5 days say, coming to over £100! Why do you penalise those that have no time or no access to book on line? Extortionate!”
“On exiting the long stay car park I was prompted for a payment off £654 after prepaying a few months ago. After speaking to the operator who had asked if it had taken my card he asked for my booking reference and car number plate. After 10 minutes the gate eventually rose to allow me egress. Not sure entirely what the issue was as it wasn’t fully explained to me.”
“After arriving back at the airport late at night I had problems trying to exit. The screen informed me that I owed £45. I had o press the buzzer for assistance. I was asked for my reference number which I'd printed off but the document was in my case in the boot. By this time there was a queue. He asked for my name and my reg no which he couldn't find and then suggested the booking had been made in the name of Brian ( my ex husband is called Brian) and that perhaps I'd turned up in a different car from that I'd booked in. I'm a 61 year old woman travelling on her own so all this was extremely disconcerting . He did kindly let me out however. The pickup bus was excellent on both occasions.”
