“Ridiculous price for parking. And to top ot off the flight was delayed half an hour, and they charged me ab extra 4 pound to exit the car park. Scandalous”
“I’ve used the parking 3 maybe 4 times this year and each time after having prepaid have been stopped and asked for the code to then be told they cannot find it and I’ll be waiting around 10-15 minutes before they acknowledge I have paid for the correct place. If you ask for Booking info prior to parking and registration then why can’t you find it upon trip return”
“No visible marked pathways to walk from long stay to terminal. Going back to long stay car park on way home was worse. Absolutely no signs where to walk and no one could help us . Some workers thought bus was still running. Ended up on main road with suitcases.”
“It’s pretty poor that the cost can double for no apparent reason other than to make greater profit from people who require to take a flight with short notice or simply didn’t think the price would change so significantly. Would I recommend it? If you have no alternative and don’t want to be reliant on a bus transfer you’re kind of left with no other option but it sticks in the throat this blatant ripping off customers. The cost of parking at Edinburgh would likely make me pay more to fly from Glasgow of there is a similar flight
Also signage from the terminal is appalling I’ve met lots of people who end up walking along the road to get in via the car entrance as they couldn’t find the walking path”
“Despite this being a very large car park it was very difficult to find a parking bay. Car park seemed to be very overfilled with cars abandoned on roadways and corners making it difficult to go up and down rows.”
“It is close to airport but you had to go around more than 3 or 4 times until you find a space, so if you are lucky you will find it but if not you can miss you flight.
And when you put ticket to come out, it said you need to pay £760. So this was not nice when you travel for a long flight and seen this kind of thing. But it sort out at the end. But i wont book it again.
They should have enough space for long stay and dont mix with a car that i just drop people off.”
“It was weird checking in as the guy insisted I look at and change the arrival time back in the UK (which I had tracked to the correct flight home and didn’t need to) but really had to fight my corner that it was right. He then really laboured the importance of calling ahead if my
Flight is delayed. Which is fine but surely if you’ve got my flight number they can keep
Track of it, as it’s not always possible to update and I would assume that’s part of the service. Anyway regardless our flight was on time and when we came out to collect the car, it wasn’t ready. Had to go and find someone to ask to get it. And that guy was helpful but then our ticket didn’t even work to get us to leave and so we had to speak to the guy at the barrier. So all in all check in was slow, check out was even slower and even leaving the car park took ages.
I usually use long stay which has always been much faster than my “fast park” experience”
“Booked and paid in advance. Attended the correct carpark and ended up with a £140 bill to be able to leave. No reason provided for the incredible overcharge as I was within the booked timeperiod for the stay”
“Bus stop miles from arrivals. Shelter at bus stop is awful completely open to the elements which us not great with 2 young children when its pouring with rain, neither was the long walk to the stop in very heavy rain. No contact number given for any problems. No where does it state where bus stop for collections is. Maybe OK if you land on a nice day but not in early hours, raining very heavily.”
“I booked my car into the car park online, with all relevant details eg date, time and flight details. My flight was cancelled and rescheduled for the previous day. I tried to change the details but the changes would not be accepted. I tried for 2 days to contact someone by telephone and e-mail but could not get anyone to respond. I finally gave up, cancelled my booking requested a refund and had to make alternative travel arrangements. I would never recommend your parking facility to anyone.”
“We had our flights cancelled by the airline the day before we were supposed to fly but because we could only give 23 hours notice and not the 24 stated in their terms & conditions, Edinburgh Airport parking refused to give us any of our £100 back. Will never use them again.”
“Booked online, stating there was a bus running every 12 minutes, on parking there was a sign saying no bus available and so needed to carry a heavy case plus hand luggage. Signage for route was bad and so had to walk down a busy road.
On returning from my trip I stopped at the barriers, inserted ticket, and got a message for a £95 payment when car was pre-paid, needed to contact the help desk, how did let me pass straight out.
Parking was misleading and will not use this service in future.”
“There isn't a phone number to call to if anything happens. You can talk to someone though the intercoms at the actual carpark but once you're away you can't phone anywhere.”
“Was told they were too busy to help me as im disabled to the terminal for my flight. Need to put the complimentary buses on again. Very disappointed with service.”
“Cost of parking .one stay has increased significantly. If I am travelling in a group of 4 I would.be cheaper using private hire or get something to drop us off and collect us. It is obvious that is what many travellers are doing this given the amount of cars that are parked up close to the airport in lay bus et cetera”
“My prepaid parking for a weeklong business trip was not honoured and I ended up having to pay again for parking, so my total parking cost was almost 3x as much as it was initially quoted”
