“Parking and price were great as usual, but getting back to the carpark from the airport was ridiculous. Usually no problems at all, but this time we had to wait almost 25 minutes for a shuttle bus (fewer buses than usual?) and when we did get on we were packed in like sardines! Being a Friday afternoon, it was a very long and uncomfortable half mile journey.”
“This time car park over full so even though I prebooked I ended up parked on kerb. Only one bus even though it was busy (early afternoon).
Also on exit it claimed I owed £130!! Prepaid and had only been in there 5 days.

“I always reserve the car park opposite terminal and did so on this occasion only to find this has been extended to areas r and s which are much further from the terminal than advertised. I could only get a parking bay next to the last roundabout which in my opinion is not the premium car park advertised as next to the terminal. you should not be advertising this as the number one parking as it is now further from the terminal than the intermediate parking. It is tantamount to fraud to advertise it as so.”
“Car registration was not recognised on arriving and and when leaving on returning from holiday the ticket wouldn't open the barrier and asked for a payment of £ 265.00.
Had to give booking confirmation no before being allowed to exit”

“Paid up-front then returning after long flight and facing a 3 hour drive home could not exit car park as machine was demanding a further £150 ! As I was on my own at 1.30 am in a deserted car park it was not a very nice experience.”
“Because we were travelling with a baby and a small child, we paid a lot extra to park in the multi-story carpark, have access to the bridge and get Fast-Track security. The carpark was very busy, so we didn't get a space on level 2 (with the bridge) so we would have been better of outside. The Fast-Track security was anything but fast. It seemed there were more people in the Fast-Track than in the regular security line, and when we got to the front of the line we discovered that there was no Fast-Track at all - we just got merged into the regular security line. Basically, paying extra for the multi-story and Fast-Track made our experience worse not better.”
“My flight was stuck on the tarmac due to Edinburgh Airport not having any available staff to move a parked aircraft to allow the flight I was on to disembark for 1hr. This resulted in me taking 2.5hrs to pass through Edinburgh (longer than the flight from Nice) and when I finally got to my car I could not get through the barrier, had to reverse out and go back to the pay station to pay another £3:50... So after the struggle to get out of the airport due to the shambles that is Edinburgh Airport I was not happy have to pay Edinburgh Airport another £3:50.....”
“Car park was full no spaces we drove around for over 20 mins totally unacceptable when going on holiday and just want to park car - no signs to say full so just driving around and around I've used this car park lots of times and never had this experience”
“The car park was overfilled. There were not enough spaces and cars had to be abandoned on roadways and anywhere anyone could find a gap. The risk of damage is obvious. That is greed. If the car park is full please direct customers to another one and prioritise service over a few extra quid.”
“Having changed details on my booking more than 48 hours before due to fly i was still stopped at the barrier to be asked for payment, although this was rectified very quickly i was even more annoyed that i returned to my car and it was damaged along the driver side where a vehicle had came into contact with my car... very disappointed to say the least.”
“When leaving, I put my ticket into the gate and I was informed that there was £130 outstanding. I pressed the help button (and after a wait and queue forming behind me) the operator asked for my reference number. This was far from ideal as the confermation was printed and in the back of the car. I eventually found the number and was allowed through the gate.”
“Parking all good. Great location easy access. Booked and paid online. HOWEVER we were delayed for 1hour arriving at 3am Sunday morning with a baby and 3 year old in tow. Got to exit barrier and it said we needed to pay an extra £10 and couldn't pay at barrier (or approve the extra money to come off online card payment. Nearest pay machine - a walk back up the car park spiral ramp! No assistance at that time of night so Luckily a quite time of day and not on my own. Not only hacked off that the extra time parked couldn't be written off but to make it so tricky to pay the extra is ridiculous!”
“Like everything about Edinburgh Airport the authorities are attempting to maximise income without providing resources to provide an adequate service to customers. We checked into the airport and found it very difficult to identify a space. Glasgow Airport for example provides excellent information about where parking is available”
