“Seems to work very smoothly these days after one or two problems a few years ago, such as non-recognition on number plate. Pricing seems geared towards getting the most out of a client rather than offering a good deal. In Multi Storey: recently £55 for 30 hrs, past holiday round about £80 - 90 for both a one week and later 2 week holiday. Price doesn't seem to reflect time spent.”

What kind of a review is this, however, where I only have the option to say what made me happy. I'd have thought you would have wanted to know how you could improve.
For what it's worth our reception on our return from Ciampino was awful. Our bus was held for twenty minutes before being allowed to let us off, because immigration was full. When did this further check appear? I remember just last year being able to collect baggage and leave the airport speedily when arriving from Australia. We waited another twenty minutes in a queue to have our passports seen and the guy asked us if we had arrived from Spain ??? We had already had passports checked at bag drop, security and a further barrier in Italy. What more was being looked for here ?
To add to that, we couldn't get out of the terminal surface car park because the machine failed to recognise my ticket and wanted to charge me over £300 for something already paid for. This is the second time ( out of two ! ) I've had to press the button for assistance.

“Glad that I was able to park close to the terminal but disappointed that the prices were increased because it was the Easter holidays. It's bad enough paying the inflated prices with holiday companies but to have it on the parking as well is disappointing indeed.”
“I was a pre-paid customer with Plane Parking from 4th to 11th April but dissapointed to find there was no Disabled parking bays so had great trouble in getting out of my vehicle as not being able to get my door fully open to top it all off when i returned to my car my wife noticed a scratch on the passenger side from the back door to the tail gate om my new car only 2 month old then to top it off when i put my ticket in to leave they wanted another £12 which i refused to pay to which they agreed.
Having to also walk to the long stay car park to pick up the transfer bus is shocking.”
“I booked the terminal parking some time ago, howeveri changed cars and got an email confirming the changes. You can imagine my surprise on my return on exiting the car park when it said I was overdue and owed some £250+ pounds, in the end the issue was resolved but it was stated that it was my old car registration that was on file and not my new registration.”
“Auto number plate recognition did not work at entry. Had to retrieve booking code at exit by getting paperwork out of luggage. Inconvenient and time consuming.”

I think Edinburgh Airport needs to factor in clients who use the car parks and then their flights are delayed as the time you are checking out of the carpark cannot be changed. when you flight is over 3 hours delayed you then get slammed with extra car parking charges. If I had booked those 3 extra hours it wouldn't of cost me any more so how is that fair.

“Generally very easy to book carparking online and pay online. However, on our return I was presented with Bill for £195. This was quickly resolved by car park operators who acknowledged prepayment had been made. - an apparent glitch with ticket system.”
“Quick efficient check-in. Bag delivery was slow on return and bus to long stay car park was overcrowded on return. Never had to wait so long before and usualy it's a fairly relaxed experience.”
“It didn't. I always pre book parking and when I arrive the ticket shows my reg and booking reference. However on my return the exit barrier NEVER lets me out and I always have to contact to reception to get out.
Also despite pre booking it sometimes up to 10 mins to find a space”
“Overbooked...overcrowded....if you are in a rush, you run the risk of not finding a parking slot on time...
On the plus side, it is but a 5 min walk to check in..”
