We noticed that the collection time was 8:00am we asked the guy at check in if that could be changed to 20:00 which it should be and he did so for us with no issue.
On return we were then charged £25 for this which the manager on site agreeed this shouldn’t have been as even the keys show the correct time 20:00.
Also apon leaving the carparking we were then charged £6 for no reason other than leaving the car parking area which we’d already paid for already also. We then read in the terms n cons on the email it states you’ll get charged again for no record of the reg time overstay

“Mistakenly ended the parking the day before (did this due to landing around midnight) and put more time on after we landed but it doesn’t change the date until the next day. Charged an additional £55 for less than 24 hours of parking.”

We would always encourage customers to review their confirmation e-mail to ensure that they have booked the correct duration that they require for their parking, otherwise, you will be subject to an overstay fee which is charged at the non-booked rate for the car park that you have entered.

“I had NO idea the on airport park was SO far from the airport with no transport to take you the airport. I think it should be explained before we pay.”
Thank you for your review. Our long stay shuttle bus was suspended in 2020. The car park is an approximate 12 minute walk to the terminal and we find it to be a manageable distance for most customers. Those who find the distance unmanageable can contact us directly to discuss how we can support them.
The long stay car park is marketed as a facility that does not have a shuttle bus and this is confirmed on our website and booking confirmations.

“Parking in the multi-story (which includes Fastrack for passports) is very convenient, however at £200 for 2 weeks - booked months in advance - this is now extortionately over priced. Almost double price increase compared to just over a year ago - absurd cost so unlikely to use again.”

Our pricing is dynamic and continually changes based on many different factors such as demand, occupancy and lead time making it possible for the pricing to change from booking to booking however, we offer competitive pricing against other providers.

“I had booked an electric car charging space for the 2 days I was travelling on Business. I turned up, parked the car, plugged in. My chargeplace Scotland card, this wouldn't work. I then used the app which after some perseverance worked. I then went back to my car to collcet my luggage to find there is a £30 overstay charge for every day! How does this work practically- was I going to hav to pay an additional £90 potentially once my car charge was complete!! I then unplugges my car and parked in a regtular space. Really disappointed, the airport are not helping to encourage EV drivers.”
Thank you for your review. The £30 overstay charge only applies to those customers who stay over the 4 day maximum that we limit use of the EV charging bays to so this would not have applied for the duration of your booking.

“The place is pretty much a stone and rubble trip hazard. I think my car was closer to the Marbury Casino than it was the terminal.

“Normally this is a fantastic service and we make use of it every holiday and it's is also one of the reasons we fly from Edinburgh. However, on return from Prague yesterday we we faced with a £205 ticket cost at barrier. Then a wait to talk to a voice in the ticket machine. Not what you want on return. Finally got it sorted, but had given us food for thought about using service again”

“I have used terminal parking for many years but won’t do so again. No available spaces and eventually followed a returning holiday maker to claim a space.The “convenience “ of the parking outweighed by the stress caused.”

“After prepaying online and following the instructions to approach barrier and take ticket upon leaving the barrier didn't open nor the ticket open the gate, I had to call the helpline to get out. This has been the case each and every time I have tried to exit an Edinburgh airport carpark.”

“Plane parking is one I will avoid in future. It is quite a distance form the terminal, too far to leg it if you are in a hurray. The bus took 15 mins to arrive. I had prebooked and found the only remaining parking place. I had difficulty getting at the barrier, and difficulty exiting. The machine told me I owed £150. t was sorted of course once I spoke with someone. And there are not enough bus stops in the car park. It is massive.And not enough buses.”
“No attendant. We had already booked online but camera didn't recognise number plate.
As cars behind we felt pressurised to take another entry ticket.
As we knew we would be charged for another ticket for a week which would have been into hubdreds of pounds we immediately left and joined que to enter again.
Next time our number plate was recognised.
We spent extra £10.80 for the inconvenience of system not working effectively.”

“Yet again I was charged £195 for 4 day stay. The ANPR system is not reliable. Had to wait til they checked out my pre-paid booking from the registration. No word of apology from the operator.”
