“Everything perfect apart from the absolute rip off of the late return charges. Flight delayed by 24 hrs due to Storm Ashley. £55 late fee for £49 worth of parking (8 nights). Outrageous.”
“My flight was cancelled, so didn’t make the pick up time (even including the 6 hr grace period). I tried multiple times to extend my booking and make a new booking, but the site wouldn’t let me. Was charged £20 extra on exit.”
“Got a shock at 2am when I tried to leave a £280 bill. Eventually managed to speak to someone who discovered that my number plate had not been read on way in to car park so my pre paid booking had not been connected to my ticket. He fixed it but it still was a stressful 10 mins”
“I cannot recommend it. Once again there was an issue when leaving at the barriers. When I enterred my ticket, I was asked to pay £150, despite parking was paid in advance and we did not overstay either.
I had to use their help button. Barrier was opened after a while without any explanation or sorry. This is not the first time, when we had problems with plane parking. We had no problems with the long stay in the past.”

“Pre-booked and paid for multi story car park, but on arrival it was full and was told to park in the terminal surface car park…that was also full. Drove round for 15 minutes starting to worry about what to do and missing a flight when we were able to catch a guy who was heading from the terminal into the parking area and we followed him to grab his place as he left.
Parked for 4 nights, not pre-booked, and was prompted to pay £195 to get through the exit barrier
At least the guy on the end of the service button had the common sense to open the barrier and let me out!
Bad service!”
“Unfortunately parking was very stressful as there were no spaces in the area 2 minutes from the terminal at 7.30 in the morning.Having paid £80 for the 4 days it was a frustrating experience as it appeared that the car park was overbooked.Chaotic would be a fitting description as there were several other cars trying to find a space and no doubt tight on time for flights etc”
“I used the fast park and found it poor both on arrival and especially on departure. Arrival some machines not working and very chaotic. Only one member of staff to help too many people. Pick-up VERY long walk to car in pouring rain. First time I have used fast park and will not use again. Much prefer multi storey as at least you are dry!”

“when we arrived, we were told that the fast park was full, so we had to go and park on the top floor of the multi storey car park. no ticket given so had to buzz the operator to explain at start and end of holiday. defeated the point of paying extra for fast pass and no apology or refund offered.”
“Not a good experience I booked parking for about 10days and paid about £139.00, when arriving to park the signage is not clear, I eventually parked in an area I thought was correct. On arriving back I had to pay £355.00 pounds. Not a happy experience.”
“Paid for parking in advance got there on day was flying out didn’t recognise my number plate pressed help button was told to take a ticket on my return. Again didn’t recognise my reg number. Put ticket in told me I had to pay a further £266 to get it will never use this service again total rip off”
“It should not be a problem that Plane Parking is a fair distance from the terminal; however, the shuttle bus that the owner has put on is a regular bus with no luggage compartment. What on earth are they thinking! Our plane arrived back into Edinburgh at 2:30AM to find a queue at the pick-up point of at least 30 holidaymakers (some elferly, others with young children) all with heavy luggage. With no luggage rack the loading of the bus was shambolic and the lazy bus driver made no effort to help (How unlike bus drivers in places like Spain or Greece!). To top it off the parking lot itself is strewn with large sharp stones which you need to dodge and the video system that is supposed to recognise pre-paid vehicles was not working, which caused a long queue at the exit gates. Given that even the cheapest carpark costs over £10 a day to park at this highly overrated airport, the level of service from Edinburgh Airport Parking is disgraceful. Avoid Edinburgh Airport Parking and Edinburgh Airport if you can.”
“Parking was easy to find and plenty of spaces. Transfer to airport was easy however there was a delay on the return trip as only 1 bus was operating and it was as only a 15 seater. I was charged an additional £120 when exiting the car park and have tried to contact customer services but the issue is still outstanding. I had pre booked my parking and need to speak to someone urgently about the matter.”
“Was rather frustrating, Barrier at mid stay car park gave us a ticket after not recognising our number plate. On return we placed ticket into barrier and it tried to charge us £250 even though we had already prepaid. Had to call assistance button to leave the car park”
“On arrival at the car park the barrier was down with and ticket dispenser saying car park full. Waited 3 mins and no movement so drove out the airport and parked in a park and ride. Got a taxi in. Won't be using them again.”
“The Terminal Car Park was full. There is poorly placed signage offering spaces - guidance should be provided at entry not simply letting drivers meander around before belatedly encountering signage pointing to space some distance away.
The web site I found sub optimal, did not recognise my hire car number and charged me £24.99 for an hour's parking. On exit, I was forced to pay another £15. In fact I had stayed less than an hour. I have raised this matter separately and await an answer.”
