“I found the online purchase of parking , and the use of the registration plate for entry , and the ticket received on entry for exiting , all straight forward and fine . What wasn't so good was the lack of a clear pedestrian walkway . The signage wasn't clear once in the parking area , and there was a puddle at a pedestrian gate .”
“Pre-booked and paid for my slot in Terminal Parking but when I arrived at my allotted time there were no available spaces at all and I and several other vehicles spent a good 10 minutes driving up and down the aisles looking for spaces - eventually had to park on a white hatched area on a corner at the end of a row. Would have thought that as you have to state entry and exit and flight times to book the computer would stop taking bookings if the car park was full.”
“Very good on way in
On return following signs for Plane parking
Plane parking signs disappear and my 13 year old daughter ended up walking all the way to the car park
Suggest you upgrade the signs and make it clearer”
“The Plane Parking has moved from its original area to one much further away on the airport grounds. Not a huge issue as there is still a bus transfer but just to let potential users know, its not really possible to walk in from it now.”
“Parking is handy for the airport but the pedestrian paths are not well signposted so ended up on road with speed bumps with a trolley was difficult especially when parts of road were also flooded.”
“Easy to find and parking very close to terminal. However on return the exit machine asked us for payment of 225 pounds despite our parking having already been paid for. We were let out but was quite a shock thinking we might have to pay it.”
“Good car park bit of a walk to the terminal . Only downside was they overcharged me when I went to leave by £16.50 even though I was within the time on my ticket”
“Easy to book and easy to get to. Unfortunately this is the second time I've used this carpark and the second time I've returned from my trip to find damage to my car .”
“Fast Park for first time in ages and forgot the pros and cons. Easy to park and don’t have to carry keys but then arrive and have a pretty long walk in the rain to pick it up. I know they need to move seat etc, but seat was moved, wing mirrors and rear view mirror moved, radio station changed, heating settings changed for passenger and driver and lights were on full beam when turned car on. No idea what the driver was doing to need all these changes but sure won’t be using it again in a hurry!”
“We booked our parking about a week before we used it and got a reasonable deal. The long stay car park is about a 10 to 15-minute walk from the terminal as advertised. The problems I encountered were when departing the terminal I could not find a clear route to the car park and ended up walking through the hire car centre to get there. Had I not marked the car's position on a map app liked to GPS it would have taken longer to find it.
When exiting the car park I used the ticket we got on entry and nothing happened. I had put the card in the wrong slot and had to seek assistance. The person we spoke to on the speaker told us what to do and a parking charge much greater than what I had paid in advance came up. Fortunately, the person helping was still in contact, and after confirming the car's registration and that we had paid in advance the barriers were opened.
Routes for pedestrians do need to be more clearly marked and signposted.”
