“I have used Terminal surface many times, however this time it was chaotic. Normally I go for terminal 2 parking - less busy. On arrival at the barriers the apnr was not working causing a Q got through that heading towards the entrance to surface 2 but the entrance had gone I saw spaces and cars but no entrance. After turning around twice I headed to surface 1 fortunately got a space quickly. I noticed a hand written sign ‘ spaces’ near the entrance to surface 1. On the way out APNR not working, a small sign indicating that on barrier was for fast park not visible until you were almost in that lane. All very unprofessional”
“Easy to access and get out on return
Walkway to the aiport wasn't 100% clear
Price is extortionate so wouldn't recommend to friends over other options available”
“Very convenient but has major flaws. Not clear when you are parked on entry to get out of the car. No trolley’s when you drop car to get you to the airport. Pavements and car park not the best surface for wheeling suitcases from drop off all the way to airport. Confusing key drop off machine with hard to use sticker tags for key. Key pick up was straight forward but couldn’t work out row lettering to find car. Couldn’t get out of car park and had to use intercom. Maybe would be easier when you do it for second time but not great for first timers.”
“We found it very difficult to find a parking space this time. There were several other people having the same issue . Some people had even parked at the side of the road . When you book a carpark you expect there to be enough spaces.”
“Edinburgh Airport has many faults, but Fast Park is not one of them. It is good value and extremely efficient and a great way to start and finsih your journey”
“We recently used Terminal Surface Parking at Edinburgh Airport and, overall, the parking facility itself is excellent. It’s conveniently located, easy to access once you find it, and only a short walk from the terminal. The parking experience itself was smooth and hassle-free.
However, the signage needs significant improvement. Although directions are provided in advance, there are no signs actually marked “Terminal Surface” when you’re approaching the airport. We ended up accidentally driving into the multi-storey car park and had to pay to exit before finding the correct parking area.
The same issue occurred on our return. The exit route wasn’t clearly marked, and we ended up following another car just to find our way out. If the car park is called “Terminal Surface”, there should be clear, consistent “Terminal Surface” signs from the airport approach roads right through to the entrance and exit.
That said, once we found the correct car park, everything was great. The facility is convenient and well located, but better signage would make the experience much less stressful for first-time users.
Would use again, but I hope the signage is improved.”
“1st time customers. Good website instructions and guidance for customers. Helpful staff at checkin. On return, poorly rutted tarmac and hill up to D45 parking location was a struggle wth very heavy suitcases. Poor exit driving experience with inability to exit the brightly lit exit gate and no buzzer or staff available to assist. Reversed car well back from gates and by chance noticed a small unlit sign advising customers for this Fast Track product to drive to a separate exit gate. We followed this instruction and with great relief, were able to exit the car park. Your website needs to be updated to provide clear instructions on lanes at the exit gates.”
