“Parked here, got a shock on our return saying we owed £180 access on parking , we had booked online and car wasn’t recognised by camera , press buzzer and guy found us in then end and let us through , same also happened to our friends with there car same day”
“On arrival back to my car I notice some small amounts of damage to the back of my car that wasn’t there when I left my car for the week! And then on exiting the car park when I put the ticket in to the machine it says £500 was owed this was rectified through the Assistant button.”
“Everything was great until we got back 2hrs later than expected and were charged an extra £15. Terms confusing as they say both 2hrs and up to 6hrs later are charge free … clearly this is not the case.”
“Our car wasn’t locked upon arrival. It had bags in the back so not as secure as we would have expected. If this was locked it would have been a 5 star rating but this makes us think whether we’ll use the service again.”
“I have used plane parking numerous times over the past few months and can absolutely say the shuttle bus is completely unreliable. Give yourself plenty of time on arriving. It cheaper for a reason.”
“Mostly a good experience until exiting. Despite having paid in advance I couldn't get through the barrier and was asked to pay £175. I used intercom to give over my registration number and was then released, but it was very disconcerting to have that experience on returning from holiday. Had I been a visitor to the country unable to speak our language I would have found this alarming. Also, an unfortunate new development is that the airport now charges for the 'hire' of trolleys. This may not be within your control but given the distance to the terminal it is a somewaht greedy move. You may be able to bring this up with the airport.”
“Reasonable price if booked far enough in advance. Outrageous price if you can't book in advance.
Bus drops you off quite far from the terminal building. Not in front of terminal.
Not enough bus stops in car park. Can be a long walk (at both ends) with luggage.”
“Spaces were far too small and there was a lack of spaces. It would also be useful to have some parent and child parking options. It would also be useful to have a more direct walking route from the terminal building to terminal parking”
“The service is portrayed as a first class, no hassle, slick parking experience but in reality it's yet another way to make money with least inconvenience to yourselves. I "checked in" beforehand but still needed to go through the paperwork when I got there. On the way back, I have to find my keys then find my car. None of it is about service.
Also, nearly all of your customers will have suitcases on wheels and yet I am wheeling mine across potholes, uneven tarmac and deliberately bumpy pavements between the parking and the terminal.
After being in Hungary and Vienna last week, Edinburgh is distinctly second rate.”
“There is work to be done on improving signage both vehicular and pedestrian. It’s far too easy to miss the ramp taking you right off the route to the pick up. When you park up, there is also inadequate signage to direct you to the Terminal building without ending up taking a circuitous route away from pedestrian friendly routes.”
